  1. The back of my card has : For customer service in the US, call 1-888-644-8314. If you are out of the country, call 1-302- 658-9593. Capital One 360 debit card (expires 04/22) These numbers worked for me the several times I had to call.
  2. In Ireland as well, that is what it has been for years, and any other civilized country, about fish and chips. I gave up on fish and chips long ago in Mexico and will not return. Stick with huachinango dorado crujiente or chicarrón de pescado, if you can find it.
  3. I think she is talking about her Capital One 360 debit card which seems to be handled at a different number than the Capital One Venture One credit card.

"Nanny society"¨? That's laughable, you can get thrown to the wolves fairly quick up north, if you don´t know how to take care of yourself. I don´t see a lot of sympathy for the unfortunates when things go wrong whether it is self inflicted or not.
  5. I have 1-302-658-9593. Always get a real person after they go through the usual recorded instructions. Also, why use the same user name and password if the old one was hacked? The hacker might figure that out very quickly. t
  6. The one good place is good because the others are so bad. Hot sand, dangerous surf, lack of restaurants, and a dozen freight trains a day, at all hours, hauling containers, rumbling through town, doesn´t make the place very attractive. It´s a long ways from living up to any potential. Never went to the beach once to spend much time in a week´s stay. Mostly in the house pool and A/C, and that was Feb. Islander…….Bob Snyder is the present operator of the old El Serape restaurant, don´t know what he calls it. Don´t know if he has written any books, but he used be across the street and to the west where he is now, which is now called Janelle´s Garden or something like that.
  7. I know this to be absolutely accurate. If it was difficult for her, and she knows her way around, I can only imagine it being impossible for most foreigners. Her process was just completed.
  8. "download bank payment sheet and pay at the bank" I wonder if that is something new? Last time I renewed at Exhimodo, i payed right there when i submitted the renewal form. I won´t say how many times i have gotten the 50& discount as it will give away my youthful age. With renewals you don´t have to present your birth certificate, not sure about the carta de naturalization, if that is your status.
  9. Rick, I believe he still has his establishment in the Manzanillo area, entrance road to Las Hadas, (Salagua, Colima), on the right hand side, that has always done real well. Haven.t been there for a year and a half, so don´t know for sure. The "Roberto" being discussed here is Bob Snyder, long time restauranteur and caterer in the Chapala area.
  10. Yes, indeedy……..through my parents, the best of both worlds………...Tacos in Dublín, Guinness in Guad.
  11. Switching to that catergorization, the best I can do is 50/50...…..shanty/lace curtain…...makes no difference on the love for potatoes…...
  12. Yeah, but remember it was a "good lawyer"......
  13. That is an old anuncio. He WAS associated with the clinic but that was severed sometime ago. He has had his own receptionist and you did not pay at the Maskaras reception area for him for some time. Most definitely, he isn´t associated with the new hospital. Even you acknowledged that he owed back rent which had nothing to do with Dr. Garcia at the time that the other Dr´s moved. If you are going to fault and hold them accountable for their past association with him then every one has something to be concerned about. He, and he alone, is responsible for his own actions or malpractice.
  14. Maybe they did go to Walmart stationary department, 10,000 pesos is believable, good lawyer, a little less. You can get some "easy" driver´s licenses and inspection stickers as well from "good lawyers".
  15. I am not "nationalized", don´t need it with an "acta de nacimiento". Boy, the assumption fever is in high gear all around lately. And i have never been blond, blue eyed, or light skinned enough to worry about the sun doing damage. Can´t trace my ancestry to Spain but you never know because those invading Spaniards left a fair amount of the ilk that I come from called "Black Irish". The "ginger men" sure thought we were different for some reason. ……...the Devil´s children.
  16. How so??? You better have your acta de nacimiento or for foreigners, carta de naturalización, and then only at the SRE offices. I have also heard from some newly naturalized citizens that you better have a damned good command of the Spanish language.
  17. Inside the house or from the street? You must be famous as they never asked me for a house photograph. Maybe it was for advertising?
  18. He was not part of the "staff", he just happened to rent a portion of the same facility, from the same owner, that Dr. Garcia and others also rented from, including Chopo labs , Farmacia Maskaras, etc., etc. Get informed, before you start making assumptions.
  19. Is it a rule? From where? My license which states my "nacionalidad" is Mexicana didn´t require the knowledge of that "rule"
  20. This is the kind of erroneous information that gets life when people post on topics they don´t know what they are talking about. The group, including Dr. Garcia, have been struggling to get to this point for years, and finally it has happened.
  21. Issuues, like what??? The ATM screen is almost impossible to read in the daytime, have to go at night when the machine doesn´t have any money.
  22. South of Manzanillo, in Cuyutlan …..state of Colima Four of us stayed there last year for a week, but I would hardly call it a B&B as we never saw any breakfasts Just a house about 1 block up from the beach that starting to look it´s age but OK. Would probably never go back as eating establishments there are not anywhere near close to the lake area and Manzanillo is little too far to go every time you want a meal. He was trying to sell it at that time, don´t know if he succeeded or not, haven´t spoken to him lately.
