From a perspective of payment, yes, easier to hire a cleaning company. In my opinion Riberas is dull - like to swim which is why i live there. And we all have shopping preferences - for example I prefer Superlake - Riberas right now is a great place to buy a car, rent a car, go to a hardware store, go to church, swim, get your car washed. Actually there are some good restaurants and good theater - and lots of bazaars. And for Diane Pearl's store - I think the only retail on that street within a few blocks. Have been to a class there, but it isn't a place that you can easily drive by - you need to deliberately go there - which is why I forget to go there. and I forgot - good bus service. More like a nice area close to Ajijic - but missing mexican cultural activities - to include parades - that I really enjoyed when i lived in Ajijic. Not much magic here.
