My Residente Temporal expires in August and I want to convert to Permanente.  Is it still necessary to provide the proof of finances going from Temporal to Permanente?  I would have no problem meeting the financial requirements.  Also I am currently out of Mexico but will be returning in early May.  I will be leaving for Thailand the middle of June for a few months before returning to Mexico.  Can I get the conversion done in one month?

In the last few days my 2016 VW Tiguan will not start after sitting overnight or for an extended period.  Jumps and restarts easily.  Had the battery checked twice and the alternator and both checked out fine.  Any suggestions on someone locally who could maybe diagnose what is causing the problem short of making a trip to the VW dealer in Guadalajara?

Since the CDC will be requiring proof of a negative Covid test before international flights beginning January 26th, does anyone have information on where to have the Covid test performed locally, how long it takes to receive the results and the approximate cost?  I would be flying out on a Sunday so I would need to have the test and the results by the Friday or Saturday before.
