  1. Ok you win. You are vaccinated. According to the latest studies your chance of contracting the covid virus is minimal. Your chance of transmitting it to others is virtually nil. So you will wear a mask for the rest of your life .. Yes? Your reply can not be no because you will transmit germs and viruses into the air around you for the rest of your life. Sorry but as Mr. Spock would say your argument is not logical. And it does not make sense for a fully vaccinated person to wear a mask. I'm not saying that The CDC is and I agree.
  2. I asked regarding this post| MC, I suggest that the next time you go to the dentist, or require surgery, you instruct the dentist or surgeon to take off their "face diaper". So exactly what has that statement to do with the CDC posting incorrect information? And now lifting mask mandates for fully vaccinated people? Comparing someone performing a medical procedure to fully vaccinated people not wearing masks makes zero sense. We now know that the numbers on which the CDC based their outdoor recommendations are months old NOT NEW and they exaggerated the numbers from under 1% to under 10% .....so isn't it ok to ask WHY? When the facts were exposed the recommendations changed in days. So lets use your automobile seatbelt scenario in a more logical way It wouldn't kill anyone to wear their seatbelt while sitting in a car parked in a public parking lot on the one in a million chance that some car might hit you at high speed. Or take one more example. You have an infection. Your doctor prescribes 7 days of an antibiotic, You are done, The infection is gone. Will you continue to take the antibiotic for the rest of your life as a prophylactic? For those of us who have been fully vaccinated to continue to wear masks is not needed. Now the CDC has stated the same. If you choose to wear a mask for the rest of your life it is your choice. I won't shame you for it. Nor should you shame those of us that are fully vaccinated choosing to not wear a mask because there is absolutely no scientific, nor logical reason to do so.
  3. You should forward it to...abuse@bestbuy.com then put it in your spam folder. With millions of email account information having been hacked from places like facebook, yahoo, home depot, etc. You can be pretty sure your email address is in hackers hands. Never open an email attachment. Even an email sent from a friend with an attachment could be from their email being compromised. So if anything seems odd check with them first. In the last year I have had 3 emails from people I have not heard from in years. All 3 had their email hacked.
  4. So exactly what has that statement to do with the CDC posting incorrect information? And now lifting mask mandates for fully vaccinated people?
  5. From Walmart Mexico: We recommend you keep the receipt, original packaging.... so that you can return your items with them, go directly to the store to do it, the items will be duly reviewed by the store staff to evaluate that the return is appropriate
  6. This is what is posted on the Chapala Govt website for today (Friday) The obvious assumption is R-Z and those missed will be Saturday,
  7. Chapala government post for Friday F.G.H.I.J.K.L.M.N.O.P For those who had their first dose here (Ajijic Chapala)
  8. It was just on the CDC news conference. Newsmax (whether you like them or not) was posting information disseminated in the press conference.
  9. Actually both Tuesday & Wednesday in Chapala were announced by the Jalisco Health Dept and then cancelled. They were scheduled but needed paperwork did not arrive.
  10. The most logical answer is if you are in the group for Friday go. If there are leftovers Thursday they will be there too. If there are leftovers Friday they will join the Saturday group. What was stated is they have the correct number of doses for those who received their first dose. If that is correct the supply will be enough and probably extra because there are always no shows.
  11. Pres release on Wed, 05/12/2021 - 22:33 Tomorrow (Thursday) will be the last day for the population of both municipalities that are missing their second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to go to receive it. Therefore, tomorrow's (Thursday's) session will be carried out regardless of the letter of the first surname so that all residents of Tlajomulco or El Salto have the opportunity to complete their vaccination schedule and be protected.
  12. Press release issued today at 3:27pm THE TREATMENT PLANT IN SAN JUAN COSALÁ IS OPERATING PERFECTLY AND DOES NOT PRESENT FAILURES IN ITS OPERATION .... This can be verified in the records of the operation and maintenance log, and in the results of the quality of the treated water, which complies with current environmental regulations, this being NOM-001-SEMARNAT-1996 for discharge to body type "C". It should be noted that these discharges are due to an extraordinary silting and clogging that occurred in the collector on La Paz street, which is part of the municipal drainage and collector network. Faced with this incident, the municipality informed the CEA and asked for their support......... https://www.jalisco.gob.mx/es/prensa/noticias/125384
  13. Again .....The Jalisco page is wrong. They will update it Meantime plan on the Chapala schedule posted by Isaac Part of press release by Jalisco which has totally different schedules as well that conflict with the Chapala posted schedule. The population of Jalisco is informed that the application of the second dose to complete vaccination schedules against COVID-19 in older adults in the municipalities of Guadalajara, Ocotlán, Chapala and Ciudad Guzmán with the Sinovac vaccine begins this Thursday, May 13. The schedule will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or until the doses assigned per day are exhausted, in each module. https://www.jalisco.gob.mx/es/prensa/noticias/125360
  14. Actually it says A to E Wednesday... so obviously the page is wrong. The vacs in Chapala started today THURSDAY.
  15. The wording regarding FMM and passport card on this US gov website is poorly worded. To obtain an FMM according to Migracion en Mexico The applicant is aware that the card passport (Tarjeta Pasaporte) can only be used in the border crossings by land and for visiting the border zone; it might not be used to travel to the territory of the Mexican Republic or used for international air trips. https://www.inm.gob.mx/fmme/publico/en/solicitud.html
  16. There are no requirements for an FMM in the border zone, nor for an I-94 for Mexicans in the US border zone. So crossing into the border zone on either side only requires a passport and for Mexican citizens into US a valid tourist visa. There are checkpoints a few miles from both borders to check for full entry requirements.
  17. So you have choices. Call the nearest passport agency on their help line and ask if you courier the application can they give it priority processing or give you a special appointment to pick it up. Delay your trip Take your chances and see what happens..
  18. Then follow the online application process & send it by courier. Do it today. Never heard of US immigration accepting photocopies , if they turn you back then what ?
  19. Here is the info on getting a replacement passport. You should be able to get a replacement passport. It appears that as of today May 12th only Boston and Philadelphia are semi closed. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/lost-stolen.html#replacelost https://eforms.state.gov/Forms/ds64.PDF https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/get-fast/passport-agencies.html If you are entering by plane a photocopy will absolutely not work. If entering by car it will depend on luck at the inspection point. In any case you will need an actual passport to return to the USA
  20. No not Mexico. It says proof of citizenship, proof of age, tourist card, residency card Mexican citizens would need only their INE.
  21. What is interesting is that the DCD admits that while they were saying the risk was less than 10% (which was true) their studies showed it was actually less than 1% and possibly as low as .1% The question is... why they give false or misleading information in their public postings?
  22. Just curious What paperwork is new and complicated, and what changed in office procedures since you last renewed?
  23. Any newbie reading this forum might think you are the one that has nothing to do but comment on others posts smile
