  1. It is on Ramon Corona corner of Jesus Garcia 1 block east of the church.

  3. If you are an independent contractor who receives a 1099 and you are receiving your income deposited into a US account you have no worries. You can basically work anywhere in the world and the local entity would have no way of knowing you are receiving money in the USA while working online in their country, nor would the companies you are doing work for know where you physically are. If you are receiving your money in a Mexican account while working in Mexico you could well owe taxes in Mexico. The good news is any taxes you pay in Mexico will lower your US taxes. Based on your questions one might ask if you are familiar with the income requirements for the type of residency are you considering in Mexico?
  4. Don't you pay extra money to Expedia instead of booking direct? Same flight on Volaris to Houston $163.84 with Volaris $175.59 with Expedia
  5. Actually the costs and contracts of all three are available. The stories are in the newspapers all the time. Train Maya The sections being built by the army might be hard to quantify, but their contracts for purchase of materials is public as well. As well as the bids for the train cars. Just one example. The National Tourism Fund (Fonatur) announced that the consortium, also made up of Acciona Infraestructuras México, Acción Construcción and México Proyectos y Desarrollos, will build the fifth section of the project, for which a budget of 17,815 million 613 thousand is contemplated. 759 pesos and 93 cents, VAT included. Dos Bocas . One example This project is financed in a special investment item for Pemex in the Budget, which for this year has authorized 41 billion pesos, last year it was 49 billion pesos. Santa Lucia airport info is public as well, although because the army is building it some of the costs might be in the military budget one example For 2021 to continue with the construction of the International Airport in Santa Lucia, the federal government would allocate 21 thousand 315 million pesos , an increase of 296.7 percent compared to the budget for the previous year.
  6. https://www.elfinanciero.com.mx/salud/2021/05/25/cansino-aclara-que-efectividad-de-vacuna-covid-no-se-pierde-en-6-meses/ CanSino clarified on Tuesday that the effectiveness of its vaccine against COVID-19 is not lost six months after its application. The pharmacist pointed out that "a communication error" caused this information to be given to participants in the phase 3 trial carried out in Mexico. CanSino stressed that all vaccines against the new coronavirus are still in development and therefore, there is no certainty about how long their effectiveness lasts. "We do have the certainty that at some point each and every one will have to be reinforced, " he said in a statement. The company added that it is not yet known how much this reinforcement will be applied, but the date will be reported "as soon as we have the necessary data."
  7. Also noted one of the largest construction companies in Mexico did not bid on Dos Bocas, the Train Maya, and the trans carib-pacific railroad projects. When asked why thay said they did not believe any of them would be able to be completed during AMLO's term. The inference was that the contract would not be completed and paid.
  8. Possibly considered political .. if so I am sorry. There will be more international companies pulling out of Mexica. AMLO has rolled back as many as possible of previous administrations laws that allowed some competition and international technology in the energy sector. There are many lawsuits by international companies who stand to loose billions of dollars on investments in their electricty and petroleum projects in Mexico. Mexico is aready in violation of T-MEC agreement between Canada-USA-Mexico because of AMLO's edicts.
  9. Received text that I am in the affected zone. No need to report
  10. As with any new enterprise I wish them luck. Serving a tasting menu at 1 pm and the price they have advertised probably will not fit the marketplace lakeside. I would doubt that much market research was done.
  11. I have never had to "stand up to them" I have never taken a picture of a cop. I have never paid a bribe, I have never received a ticket in 50+ years of driving in Mexico. I have been stopped many times (I tend to speed) Sometimes they have been wrong. Mostly I have been in the wrong. I smile. I say I'm sorry if I did something wrong. I say I understand they are doing their job. Please give me the ticket and I will pay for my error.
  12. HAHAHAHA Would not dare??? If you want to aggravate a cop take his picture when he says hello. Why would any logical person wish to pi** off a cop? It just isn't logical, and it certainly won't end in a pleasant encounter. So now you have his picture. He asks for a bribe. Or punches you in the face. His word against yours. Who do you think will win??? Or are you going to record a video of the stop???? That will really make him happy..... Now you get a ticket for an illegal turn, broken stoplight, not wearing a seatbelt, and using a cell phone while driving. But you got his picture.
  13. They both are very helpful........ Just not for you ... which the poster really did not need to know. The link is to register for 50 years older and above and for pregnant women 18 or older. The other link has information about Tonalá, El Salto and Tlajomulco sites which many lakesiders have used, Appointment registration starts tomorrow.
  14. It depends on when you sign up. We have Telcel Mexico Canada USA unlimited calls with 1gb data, on a monthly billing for $199 a month. Never have used up our 1gb data because we always connect to wifi when possible. Checked for a friend 3 months ago and that plan wasn't available at that time. The OP did not state what plan they had. Thus check to see if US roaming is free or extra charge per minute.
  15. Another option is a small battery power bank that you charge at home. If your phone gets low it will charge it. Walmart sells different capacities for under $200.
  16. When you are roaming anywhere in the world your cell works like a local cell if a matching network frequency is available. To call Mexico you would need to enter 52 first. Check your AT&T plan to see if US roaming is free or extra charge per minute.
  17. Call izzi ...say you want to cancel and you will know in a few minutes what conditions your contract has. After all it is izzi not members of this webboard that know what contract you have.
  18. You don't need to get names. You don't need to try to intimidate them by taking photos. If there is anything that will aggravate any policeman anywhere in the world it is taking photos and checking their badge for their name. Smile! Be polite! Say you are sorry! Ask for the ticket and say you will pay the fine. They will either give you the ticket or let you go. This works not only here but in many other countries as well. Never never pay a bribe. Smile and ask for the ticket. I have been stopped in a few different countries ( I tend to speed) I haven't had a ticket since I was a teenager. I was even stopped in the famous speed trap near SLP about 5 years ago. I was doing about 110km in the 60km zone. Results .. no ticket travel safe have a good day, and a handshake.
  19. You are asking questions that probably you will need to contact izzi to get correct answers. Contracts change over time but many providers use the terms that you initially signed up for. So what someone here has had for a year or two may be very different than what you signed up for. The costs for any of the services and plans available to you should be available on the respective websites of the companies you wish to know about.
  20. Never heard of a Telmex cell. They do sell phones and you can recharge Telcel phones at Telmex.
  21. No. I have no need. My battery is huge and lasts all day with a balance of 70% or more. In any case I would not be in a the sun enough time to charge a phone.
  22. 12 watt solar chargers under $700 on Mercadolibre
  23. IShop should be able to help with required permits for vitamins. A doctors perscription does not change the need for an import permit for medicine or medical devices.
