  1. Then they are the exception. I have received packages with international tracking from USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, China, Germany, and Great Britain. and Belgium all with international tracking
  2. I have had many DHL, and FedEx international packages opened for inspection in Aduana. It is a numbers game. If they see something odd on the it will be checked. Also packages are randomly chosen for inspection. Every country is more or less the same.
  3. If you are sending packages internationally you must pay for international tracking. If not when it is handed over to a different countries mail system the tracking ends.
  4. There has been no upsurge in cases here since Chapala was "opened up" a few weeks ago. As of Monday Chapala has 4 active cases with 5 awaiting test results. Jocotepec (where Raquet is located) has 3 active cases with 2 awaiting test results. For comparison on July 2nd Chapala had 2 active cases and Jocotepec 8 active cases
  5. Medicine and medical devices require an import permit. FedEx, DHL, or correos de Mexico are all the same. It does not matter what port of entry. There is no way of knowing which packages will be selected for opening & Inspection. If it is a prohibited item or an item requiring an import permit it either needs to return to sender or it will be destroyed.
  6. August 10 Monday updates Chapala active:unchanged =4active Jocotepec active: unchanged = 3 active Ixtlahuacán active: +1 = 3 active
  7. Upper Chula Vista is a long ways from Cumbres and Chula Vista Norte and is not connected with either in any way. You would need to ask the homeowners Assoc about water in Upper Chula Vista.

  9. posted earlier in this thread The Ajijic postmaster was there(in Chapala) and told me that my box will be transferred to Chapala on Tuesday and that I will keep the same mailing address that I had in Ajijic as well as the same box number.
  10. Government agencies in Mexico do not make telephone appointments. It is done on-line. Here is the link for DL appointments https://citas.jalisco.gob.mx/transporte/client/locationList
  11. I just received the message Your number is an affected zone. There is no need to report. We are working to solve the problem
  12. I'm pretty sure anyone receiving the scam call mentioned by the OP on a VOIP Canadian or US number would know that no one calling could possibly know if they had been "in close contact" with anyone in Mexico. Much less send a test kit from Canada or the US to Mexico.
  13. I have used Handymail for over 15 years. Because they do not accept packages in Laredo the mail does not pass through Aduana thus it is at least a day quicker. Sometimes I receive mail 3 times a week. They send out emails of each arrival with which boxes have mail. They also accept Correos de Mexico & packages shipped directly to your box in Mexico.
  14. August 8 Saturday updates Chapala active: -1 =2 active Jocotepec active: unchanged =3 active Ixtlahuacán active: -2 =3 active
  15. Our president has cut funding to many government offices, as well as many government employees. He needs the money to pay for 2 airports, (one destroyed plus a useless new one), build a new refinery, and build the Train Maya.
  16. In English?? or in Spanish??
  17. Casa del Alfeñique Puebla ??
  18. Are any of these calls being received in Mexico?
  19. August 7 Friday updates Chapala active: unchanged =3 active Jocotepec active: unchanged =3 active Ixtlahuacán active: unchanged =5 active
  20. The problem is not the availability of numbers. It is the availability of cables to the area. With the new fiber optic installations many areas have a lot more availability. Unless the area where this phone line is now has a problem it is just a number nothing more.
  21. August 6 Thursday updates Chapala active: +2 =3 active Jocotepec active: unchanged =3 active Ixtlahuacán active: +1 =5 active
  22. A Mexican debit card should work for depositing money to the account, but not for linking the card for automatic payments. Don't know about Oxxo, at BBVA it is a few seconds.
