  1. The lake goes up and down. Since Chapala is a natural lake controlled by nature as opposed to a reservoir with a dam controlled by man, it should continue to do as is has for possibly millions of years. https://www.ceajalisco.gob.mx/contenido/chapala/chapala/niveles.html
  2. Sounds like you have the most common, Violet Crowned like my Icon. The males head will show the violet color when viewed in the sun from above. The color is not as strong on females and young.
  3. Only the Secretary of State for the state involved can create one. The Apostille is a certification recognized by certain countries. Only the Secretary of State for the state involved can create one. recognized by various countries that sighed a special accord. Canada is not one. There is no need to pay a third party and pay extra for them to order it for you. Most states, if not all, offer the service on-line They will create a certified copy of the original document and attach the Apostille to the document in a manner that if separated it would be obvious
  4. Apostilles are created by the Secretary of State in the state where the document originated. You need to go to the Secretary of State's website for the state involved and order from them.
  5. Now is when the high numbers from April-June decline. Where they go who knows. Depending on the type they come and go. The largest numbers here seem to be Violet Crowned which stay high year round but whose numbers are much higher in April-June. Also Broad billed increase in those months. Right now most common are Violet crowned, Broad Billed and Berylline. Rufus are here a couple of weeks a year on their migration from Oaxaca to Alaska. Bumble Bee, Black Chinned, Sparkling Tailed Woodstar, are seasonal as well. A Broad Billed male on my finger. Violet Crowned, Broad Billed, and Berylline enjoying a meal together
  6. Would be quicker to Chapala and safer than GDL at 1 in the morning.

  9. Didn't know there was a Democratic party in Mexico or any politician named Biden here.. Or are we starting a USA political discussion? That will be a real black hole in no time.
  10. If the merchant is using one of the many available discount credit card processing devices that connect with a cell phone app they should ask if you want a receipt emailed. If they don't ask then you should tell them you want one.
  11. Why flee? If you are involved in an injury accident you will be going to jail. There you will receive a blood alcohol test. The police will try to determine fault. You will 99% be spending the night. Many think they need an attorney first to "negotiate" their side part during the investigation.
  12. I'm guessing Maincoons is on an Amigo pre-pay plan. A trip to the Telcel office might be in order to get the most accurate info if so.
  13. Denver. Do you have an Amigo pre-pay plan? Or a regular post pay plan that bills you each month?
  14. Canadians can not go back and forth by land unless they are permanent residents of the US. No covid tests are required for land crossings. On the Mexican side you are in the border zone and thus do not need a tourist permit so in that manner the border to Mexico is open. 16. According to the border agents in Laredo no. And a couple of months ago at CBX no. Just fly to LAX or San Antonio as many others have done. You can return the same day.
  17. Maybe if you want to know you could call and ask. They have been there 20 years and have an excellent reputation. English spoken
  18. It was renewed yesterday. The original story was updated. Check the CBP website Based on the success of the existing restrictions and close collaboration with Mexico and Canada, @DHSgov will continue to limit non-essential travel at our land ports of entry with Canada and Mexico until Aug 20,” Chad Wolf, the acting U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, said in a tweet. “Close collaboration with our neighbors has allowed us to respond to #COVID19 in a North American approach and slow the travel-related spread of the virus.”
  19. Extremely secure. Guarded 24 hours. Can store outside or in an individual storage unit.
  20. No Land crossings are not permitted for Non US citizens or Permanent residents. Your best bet would be to fly to LAX for a southern California visit.
