  1. Bisbee Gal... You are correct. I believe that Chase has a zero % foreign transaction fee. The rate you are posting is yesterdays., but close enough. However there will always be a very slight difference between the rate quoted by the Visa website and the division of Visa that processes the foreign transaction One question.... Does Chase reimburse the very high Commission BBVA is charging? I just paid 74.24 with IVA at HSBC but I did have the extra step of Decline.
  2. The Supreme Court has already ruled in the requirements of this referendum. Actually the federal government has had the ability to prosecute any formal government official without any referendum. AMLO just wanted it to be a "the people want it" situation. If he does he could be causing himself future problems. He hasn't had a job in 20 years and his oldest child is living in Texas in a mansion with private 24/7 guards... With money from where??
  3. There is a 99%+ possibility the vehicle does not meet US Safety and Emission standards. If it does there will be a sticker under the hood saying it meets those standards (see picture) If not then a licensed importation shop in the USA (there only a couple) well need to change the speedometer to miles, install any needed safety equipment and emissions equipment to bring it up to US standards. Then they will release it to customs for importation. https://www.cbp.gov/trade/basic-import-export/importing-car https://www.nhtsa.gov/importing-vehicle
  4. That rate is calculated by the exchange that either Visa or Mastercard owns that actually process the international transactions so it should be the same at any ATM as long as you don't accept dynamic exchange . You can always check before you go. https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/personal/get-support/convert-currency.html https://usa.visa.com/support/consumer/travel-support/exchange-rate-calculator.html/
  5. National numbers drop a second day -10,157 confirmed active Jalisco drops again -723 confirmed active
  6. That is the ESTIMATED number the verified number is 122,635 Jalisco NOTE 2,848 (39%) of the Jalisco active cases are in Puerto Vallarta & Bahia de Banderas CHAPALA
  7. I would think that each country will need to approve individual vaccines before private sales will be allowed. Now they are being used under emergency use authorization.
  8. The national news this morning reporting less than 8% of the registered voters participated and add to that people with expired INEs were allowed to vote as well. Participation is well below the 40% required (37.4 million) of the 93.6 million citizens in the register for the result of the consultation to be binding or mandatory. The INE president counselor, Lorenzo Córdova, explained that in the 57 thousand 70 receiving tables or boxes that were installed this Sunday, the estimated participation percentage of the was 7.07 and 7.74% .
  9. Trying not to be political.... In the last three years When the Mexico City Airport construction was cancelled Moodys down graded Mexico's bonds, since they have been downgraded again and Pemex bonds are now junk status(costing billions in extra interest) The energy reforms are being dismantled in favor of government run again. (Pemex loses more money than any oil company in the world) The health system was reorganized and 2 years later still no one understands how it is run. No money for medicine.... Aviation system has been downgraded and the budget cut... pilots can't even get their required medical checks. Hugs and not bullets policy has emboldened the cartels which are in control of more areas daily. Billions have been spend to completely change the National Police to the Guardia National with all new vehicles, and uniforms. Military is in charge of Guardia National. Customs is being taken over by the Guardia National (military). Environmentally protected areas forgotten to build a new refinery which will end up costing double the original estimate. (meanwhile around the world major oil companies are selling off refineries) Military being used to construct the new airport and a large part of the Train Maya both with huge cost overruns and no accountability.
  10. Now we are getting the seatbelt argument. I won't use one because I read that just last week someone burned to death because he couldn't get his seat belt off.
  11. Total failure and waste of money. AMLO can give lessons on how to waste our money.
  12. Maids and gardeners lakeside are paid much more than they are in Guadalajara. The other thing is the quality of the work is much lower lakeside.
  13. Hopefully under 40% will vote and this can go away.
  14. Unlike his fake airport consultation, this one has been scrutinized.... The Supreme Court re-worded the question. “Do you agree or not that the pertinent actions be carried out in accordance with the constitutional and legal framework, to undertake a process of clarification of the political decisions made in recent years by political actors , aimed at guaranteeing justice and the rights of potential victims? ”.
  15. There needs to be a participation of 40% of registered voters for it to count. Hopefully that won't happen.
  16. They are knowwn as "Servants of the Nation".
  17. Based on that it was poor judgement by those at the vac site. On another note... If they are living here they should make an appointment with INE in Jocotepec to change their address.
  18. The OP was asking why they got a different package than by paying in person than they did online......... Logic says they want to do it online. For many of us going to an Oxxo requires getting in a car and driving. Paying every bill online saves gas & time, and in some cases a charge by the physical location to do it for you. That is a benefit of having internet.
  19. There is no government hospital in Chapala. Possibly in the future as it was a campaign promise of the newly elected mayor. The federal website lists hospital occupancy as of July 30 Jalisco at 53.34% and beds with ventilators at 39.70% Shows Jocotepec at general occupancy of 60% and zero on ventilators on July 30 Maps of hospitals beds with ventilator occupation as of July 30 below
  20. I saw where there INE was from. What I asked is what address they used when they registered on the federal website?
  21. If they do then they can use less salt. 1. Glutamate is the purest taste of umami, the fifth basic taste. Umami taste receptors have a special affinity for free glutamate. 2. We consume between 10g and 20g of glutamate from our diet, of which glutamate from seasoning (monosodium glutamate) or condiments is less than 10%. 3. What is MSG (monosodium glutamate)? It is the sodium salt of glutamate, an amino acid found abundantly in protein. 4. MSG brings nothing new to the diet. The body treats glutamate in exactly the same way whether comes from the food we eat or is added as seasoning. 5. Glutamate is important for healthy metabolism; however, most of the dietary glutamate we consume is used as fuel by the cells of the digestive system. 6. Increasing the umami taste in food by increasing the level of free glutamate can result in reduced sodium (salt) and fat-reduced recipes which still taste satisfying. 7. In recipes, replacing salt with some MSG will reduce the sodium content, as MSG has two-thirds less sodium than table salt. 8. Only a small amount of added glutamate is required to optimize umami taste; using more won’t do you any harm but, as with salt, the food might not taste as good. 9. The extensive body of research which exists about glutamate has been reviewed by independent scientists and regulatory authorities around the world — all have found MSG to be safe. 10. Numerous well-conducted scientific studies have failed to show a connection between MSG and adverse health effects. In fact, MSG gives the benefit of umami taste.
  22. Just curious.. When they registered what did they show as their address?
  23. If you think America Movil is making such a killing then buy the stock and you too can be rich.
