  1. You would need to search Canadian law They require that to open a bank account in Canada I assume.
  2. Normally the conversion can be done in one month if everything is done correctly. If not you can get a letter allowing you to leave and return while the change is being processed. Be sure to start the process before you get here so you can go the immigration office the next day after arrival. https://www.gob.mx/tramites/ficha/cambio-de-residente-temporal-a-residente-permanente/INM823 https://www.inm.gob.mx/mpublic/publico/inm-tramites.html?a=thgeGuQHx2k%3D&tr=aMGJUsAf0Tk%3D&h_sdp00=giUnJ9XgtISVcdYJXduIGw%3D%3D&h_dsplp02=en
  3. FATCA requires foreign financial institutions and entities to report information on accounts held by a U.S. taxpayer. In compliance with this law, foreign institutions send information including your name, address, account numbers, balances, and identification numbers to the IRS. In most cases, foreign banks will ask you to fill out Form W-8 or Form W-9 if you are a US citizen or if you ever lived in the US. Even if you ignore this request for information, a bank may still forward your bank account details or interest on foreign holdings to the IRS if they have reason to believe that you are a US person. A US person, as mentioned above, must file FBAR when they have a financial interest or authority over a financial account located outside the United States. However, they will only need to file if the foreign accounts exceed $10,000 at any time during the calendar year they are filing taxes for. Whether or not your foreign financial account has produced taxable income, you’ll still need to report it on FBAR. Living abroad and filing a joint income tax return will affect whether or not you need to report these assets. According to the IRS, if you are a US person living in the US, you must file Form 8938 if you must file an income tax return and: Filing Single - The total value of your foreign financial assets is more than $50,000 on the last day of the tax year or more than $75,000 at any time during the tax year Married Filing Jointly - The total value of your foreign financial assets is more than $100,000 on the last day of the tax year or more than $150,000 at any time during the tax year Married Filing Separately - The total value of your foreign financial assets is more than $50,000 on the last day of the tax year or more than $75,000 at any time during the tax year. According to the IRS, If you are a US person living abroad, you must file Form 8938 if you must file an income tax return and: Single or Married Filing Separately - The total of your foreign financial assets is more than $200,000 at the end of the year. Married Filing Jointly - The total of your foreign financial assets is more than $400,000 on the last day of the tax year or more than $600,000 at any time during the year. This rule applies even if only one spouse is living abroad. Jointly but Unmarried - The total of your foreign financial assets is more than $200,000 on the last day of the tax year or more than $300,000 at any time during the year.

  10. Have placed many orders using their website with deliveries to both the US and Mexico. I do not use the app. Never had a problem. I did see a price drop on an item after I bought it and they refunded the difference. Temu is not a manufacturer ....it is a central purchase website with many vendors using them to warehouse and ship. Just like Amazon, Aliexpress, or Mercadolibre, so any referrence to Temu using child labor (unless they are using them in the distribution center) would be true with any made in China product from Amazon, Marcadolibre, Ebay. and a dozen others as well as Temu.
  11. Source?? Sounds like urban legend. Cocaine is a powder and crystals. How it could possibly be solid enough to make a suitcase is hard to believe. Possibly you could soak the cloth material in a liquid cocaine solution and later extract it. No way it would weigh 2 kilos of cocaine

  19. The restaurant has not changed hands. The owner is also the owner of La palapa del Guayabo which has a different menu. Personally in 20 years I have not seen any change in the food or service. Always great service from Juan and his brother Armando as well as their other family members who work there. Everyone has different tastes and ideas as to what a molcajete should be. (Actually molcajete is the name of the stone vessel and here most of them come from San Lucas Evangelista on the south shore of lake Cajititlán} And as to adding condiments... That is why things like salt, pepper, sauces, etc are on tables in restautrants so customers can season their food to their individual liking.
