  1. posted earlier in this thread The Ajijic postmaster was there(in Chapala) and told me that my box will be transferred to Chapala on Tuesday and that I will keep the same mailing address that I had in Ajijic as well as the same box number.
  2. Government agencies in Mexico do not make telephone appointments. It is done on-line. Here is the link for DL appointments https://citas.jalisco.gob.mx/transporte/client/locationList
  3. I just received the message Your number is an affected zone. There is no need to report. We are working to solve the problem
  4. I'm pretty sure anyone receiving the scam call mentioned by the OP on a VOIP Canadian or US number would know that no one calling could possibly know if they had been "in close contact" with anyone in Mexico. Much less send a test kit from Canada or the US to Mexico.
  5. Didn't need to watch, just the picture says it all. How anyone can trust this couples information when they don't even know how to spell maid is beyond me........ Once again shows that Youtube videos need to be taken with a grain of salt.
  6. I have used Handymail for over 15 years. Because they do not accept packages in Laredo the mail does not pass through Aduana thus it is at least a day quicker. Sometimes I receive mail 3 times a week. They send out emails of each arrival with which boxes have mail. They also accept Correos de Mexico & packages shipped directly to your box in Mexico.

  13. The problem is not the availability of numbers. It is the availability of cables to the area. With the new fiber optic installations many areas have a lot more availability. Unless the area where this phone line is now has a problem it is just a number nothing more.

  20. You can order directly: https://apps.pase.com.mx/tienda/ I highly recommend the model Portátil for$100. It has a holder to install on the windshield and you can remove it in a second to use in another vehicle. It is also has a better signal reception than the RFID sticker named Calcomanía and is now the same price. After you have it you open an account at https://apps.pase.com.mx/up/ and register the device. Then you can pre-load up to a total of $3000 in advance, however the maximum per deposit is $2000. You can print out a payment slip for BBVA or pay online. There is an app that will allow you to deposit from the app as well. Also the app will alert you to each charge and show your charges. As posted earlier you can also setup automatic withdrawals from a Mexican card.
