  1. No I don't know the couple Sonia referenced. It just seems complete obvious that an American heading north with his Mexican wife, that she would have a tourist visa. Especially if they are clients of Sonia. You need more than a tourist visa. You need a valid reason under the regulations in force right now
  2. She wasn't denied entry for lack of visa. She was denied entry because of the travel restrictions applying to non permanent residents entering for a non valid reason. Could be solved with a doctor's appointment in a no border zone city ie: San Antonio.
  3. August 31, 2020 at 7:46 pm Dr. Hugo López-Gatell Ramírez, Undersecretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, reported that more than 35 million influenza vaccines will be given for the season from October 2020 to April 2021, when the number of cases increases. López-Gatell indicated that the vaccine began to arrive in the country, starting in August with 4 million 431 thousand 460 doses. New shipments are expected for September: 7 million, 371 thousand 360; October, 14 million 620 thousand and November, 8 million 772 thousand applications. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic , he added, there were delays of between a month and a half to two; however, in Mexico there will be 35 million 359 thousand 172 doses; the previous period 31 million 942 thousand 649 were given.
  4. The question is when do you intend to travel? ... as Sonia says unless your driver has a valid reason to enter the USA at this time they most likely would be denied entry. Currently September 21 is the last day of the border closure ... Will it be extended again? You could walk across at bridge number 1 in Laredo, but the question is are you allowed to cross on foot with dogs? At this time the wait to cross by foot is between 45 minutes from noon to 4pm and at 6pm or so up to 2 hours.
  5. Basically the AMLO administration is saying mañana........ from today's morning press conference MEXICO CITY, Aug 31, 2020.- The Government will report in the next few hours the situation regarding the issue of influenza vaccines in the country. The arrival of the autumn-winter season begins in Mexico in a few weeks. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador offered to make the information on the subject transparent, as there are versions of medical personnel from the health sector in the sense that the vaccine against seasonal influenza will not be available to the public until November of this year. That is, two months after what was customary in previous years and contrary to what had been offered a couple of months ago by the health authorities at the federal level, to advance the influenza vaccination campaign to avoid the seriousness in the health status of patients who could be infected with both viruses. But are there vaccines or are there no vaccines, can people go to health centers to get vaccinated? The press insisted. The president assured that the undersecretary of health, Hugo López-Gatell Ramírez must report in detail the situation facing Mexico at this time regarding vaccines against influenza.
  6. First read your Mexican policy. Most include USA liability insurance. I know with my Qualitas I went on-line and printed out my USA coverage page in English from the Qualitas link on my policy.. If you have a question call your agent. You can buy short term liability on-line from a Texas insurance company named National Unity I have never found a way to buy collision/comprehensive. Here is a link: https://www.segurogringo.com/
  7. I have 100% medical in Mexico. I live in Mexico. I don't need insurance in other countries. So paying for something I will never use would be foolish.
  8. Do you mean crossing into Mexico? The current rules say no entry into Mexico or the USA by land crossings for the purposes of tourism. There have been reports of people entering into Mexico and getting FMMs. The rules say a doctors appt is a valid reason to cross. I am aware of Mexicans making appointments in the USA and printing a copy of the email and then being allowed to cross. Why not contact CBX for the most current information? https://www.crossborderxpress.com/en/
  9. 10. No it's not obvious if Oatsie needs to re-new or apply for a new license. I'm sure they don't need both!
  11. Sorry to hear your tag was hit & miss. Did you see others with tags having problems at the same booths? Were they able to scan it for you so you didn't need cash? Since I switched to the portatil it has never failed on the Chapala to Laredo via SLP route.
  12. Not a good time to cross At 3pm Laredo was showing: Bridge I Sentri only 2 lanes 10 minutes Bridge II 4 lanes open 3 hour wait Columbia 2 General 45 minutes and 1 Sentri 10 minutes
  13. Numbers on a check have no relation to numbers on an ATM card. I'm assuming you don't have the app on your phone or tablet. If you have the app all your card numbers are available. You could try calling the Preferred Customer Service in DF at 52-555-002-3539
  14. If large heavy UPS will be expensive. Check www.merkalink.com in Laredo.
  15. If you have a BBVA you can pay CFE directly using the app. Or get a digital card that generates a CVV good for 2 1/2 minutes. I always use the digital card to pay online. It has never been rejected Don't know about other Bank's apps but I would think they offer similar options
  16. Are you speaking of the 10 cases currently active in Chapala? If so where are you finding the age information?
  17. Are you trying to pay with a Mexican issued card?
  18. Your app will show you paid the last toll booth day date & time. . If needed for the insurance provided by the toll road you show the charge on your app.
  19. Interbank transfers over $10,000US are fine.
  20. OMG Maybe the conspiracy is real after all !!!! We all need to be on the alert as at any time a farmacia might decide to close for a day or two with no prior notice or explanation afterwards when they re-open !!!!
