  1. Chopo in GDL is charging $3399 for a PCR test Salud Digna in GDL is charging $950 for a PCR test The Aeroméxico/Delta discount will have to be $2450 off to make worthwhile. Doubtful it's that much Lapi labs are in Mexico City and Merida
  2. 3 guesses if it's true or not......1st 2 don't count
  3. This too shall pass The USA only requires an antigen test which are one at a time so really the WHO directive does not apply, also seeing airports in Mexico having antigen testing available just means a little more time in the airport for USA residents
  4. Reading the description: KIT PRUEBA ANTICUERPOS COVID19 PARA APLICACIÓN PERSONAL Personal application is basically do it yourself wouldn't you think?
  5. I have nothing to worry about. Following the science as we have been told; I wear my KN95 mask properly, I use gel, I wash my hands, I don't spend time indoors with groups without masks, and I avoid large crowds. Based on your logic it is a waste of time for governments to inform people of where outbreaks are., because everyone is staying home. If these someone knows someone, or I know but it's a secret posts are to be believed it is inconceivable to think that the poster wouldn't want to let the public know when and where for the good of public safety.
  6. Last time I was in transit in Dallas I stayed overnight in an off airport hotel as my next flight did not depart till the next day. . Now that would trigger a quarantine.
  7. El Informador reports: COVID-19: Guadalajara Airport will install laboratory for tests The cost of the Antigen test will be 450 pesos and the PCR of 1,450 pesos; prices applicable only to passengers on international flights. (My comment: since a PCR test requires appx 6 hours in the lab it would be basically imposible to have a PCR test the same day as the flight whereas an antigen test can have results in as little as 15 minutes) Given the provisions of the United States government so that every passenger who enters its territory has a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test, the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) reported that it will install a temporary laboratory at the Guadalajara Airport, so that users who do not have a valid test by the American authorities can take the exam and travel safely to the neighboring country. The GAP informed that the laboratories will be installed throughout the airport network. In this way, as of Monday, January 25, the temporary modules will also be gradually assembled at the airports of Tijuana, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Guanajuato, Hermosillo, Mexicali, Morelia, La Paz, Aguascalientes, Los Mochis and Manzanillo . The airport group recommended that passengers arrive with enough time to take their flight and previously, if possible, the documentation and requirements to fly, as well as taking the test in the city's laboratories.
  8. The tests are all counted and reported so they would be in the numbers.
  9. Yes if it would save others 100% And no one is asking names.... just where
  10. Ok Since you know, but nobody else.....Put everyone in danger. As of yesterday there were 38 deaths reported in Chapala and 1 of every 13 were residents of 1 fracc. and of the 9 active cases 1 of every 3 is in that fracc... And you won't tell us so we can be safe from a massive outbreak?
  11. If this is true...please name the frac so the rest of us can be cautious and not have contact with people who live there...
  12. I don't know Catherine Claire. Can you elaborate? Have these "dying at home" been tested? If so why aren't they in the active case numbers? If they were not tested why not?
  13. To board a flight to the USA you will need the test begining Jan 26 no matter where your final destination is. For Canada you already would have needed one...so As to quarantine don't leave the airport and they will not make you stay in the USA 14 days before your next flight.
  14. You do want to do it as it is safer than letting the other state keep your plate when you register it there. It is "Baja por registro en otra Estado" The website indicates it is free You can see all the requirements here: https://tramites.jalisco.gob.mx/tramite/22655
  15. Last message from Mexico City on Jan 15th The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director has signed an order requiring all airline passengers traveling to the United States, including U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs), to provide proof of  a negative COVID-19 viral test or recovery from COVID-19. Effective January 26, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older must provide either a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within three calendar days of travel or provide a positive test result and documentation from a licensed health care provider or public health official of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel.  Passengers must also attest, under penalty of law, to having received a negative qualifying test result or to recovery from COVID-19 and medical clearance to travel. See the CDC Proof of Negative Test Result page to view the order, complete the attestation, and to see  FAQ’s. Airlines must deny boarding to passengers who do not meet these requirements. U.S. citizens in countries where adequate COVID-19 testing is not available or may not be able to satisfy the requirements, should depart immediately or prepare to be unable to return to the United States until such time as they can meet the requirements.
  16. The Consulates and Embassies, to the best of my knowledge, have never provided medical assistance to those living abroad. It is doubtful they ever will What they have done is provided referrals and information regarding emergency medical services. I am sure at some point the department of state Mexico Embassy will post information on how to obtain a Covid vaccination in Mexico. If you are subscribed to the program you will receive an email. Someone will probably post it here as well. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/before-you-go/about-our-new-products/staying-connected.html
  17. Right there with ya' Rick. Or the Guacamayas AMLO's favorite team
  18. With about 700,000 passengers arriving in the US daily I would like to know how the US government will be able to monitor the quarantine requirement? https://www.tsa.gov/coronavirus/passenger-throughput
  19. And takes the time to join this webboard to post the information LOL
  20. You are welcome to your opinion. It is just that an opinion and nothing more.. Abbott's BinaxNOW test first received FDA authorization back in August, and then got authorized for home use in mid-December. These tests are currently being distributed to local health departments across the U.S. They're available with a prescription only. Results: This test is administered entirely at home with a self-collected nasal swab and gives users results within 15 minutes.
  21. You are welcome to your opinion. It is just that an opinion and nothing more.. And please refrain from accusing me of fabricating information and calling me a liar. Yet another personal attack. MODS
  22. Here is a second on-line. https://www.einnews.com/pr_news/527823616/easyrapidnow-nasal-swab-antigen-rapid-covid-test-kits-now-available-to-businesses-brands-through-dermacare-packaging My original post was to be critical of the pricing lakeside to antigen tests knowing how cheap they are in the USA. Someone asked if they could buy them in the USA and I replied that they could... That is because they can. Some need prescriptions, some do not. Now this thread has become you challenging me to find you the information on where you can buy a home test kit. Please don't be a jerk with me like you were in the past. I thought you got over that. I have been completely respectful to your posts.
  23. Should we ship our houses to Florida for your estimate?
  24. As far as you can see... Your pharmacy in the US could order the Brand Carestart and you would need a prescripción for that brand. https://www.dotmed.com/listing/disposables-general/quickkit/covid-19-antigen-test-kit/covid-test-kit/3429555 As to all the different brands that have been approved for home use for sale in the USA you could call you primary care doctor for a recommendation and which pharmacies have which brands in stock.. Normally purchasing medical devices online in the USA is difficult.
  25. The video was the only one I could quickly find showing how the test works. That brand requires a prescription. There are others that do not.
