  1. Thank you I stand corrected. All my friends that are extranjeros have red All my family have green. My grandson born in the USA who is a Mexican citizen has red. So there may be a different meaning or no meaning for different colors.
  2. The CURP card is no longer used. It is now a letter size certificate. It is in color and you print an "original" from the website. If you are foreign born the border is red, Mexican born green. My newest one has my picture in color. My wife's has a Mexican flag.
  3. Is it possible you are using the letter O for the number O ? I cut and pasted ours from a PDF of the CURP The CURP entered is for Mexican born. When I click verify CURP I just don't get anything on the next page but links
  4. Is it saying that your CURP is not valid? Or are you just not getting anything on the next page. I have been able to enter my CURP and my wife's CURP about 20 times, but the website stops on the next page and only displays 3 links for information. In the last hour also a diferente federal page saying they are experiencing problems.
  5. You can apply for a credit on your next bill by calling 800 123-2222 You will need the repair order number you were given.
  6. BMH was referring to the website that was posted before https://vacunascovid.gob.mx/ It is still only for registration of Medical personnel working with covid patients. The new one posted today is the one for individuals.
  7. You are using the wrong website, The new one is https://mivacuna.salud.gob.mx/ It stopped working early today and according to isitdownright.com now the website is down
  8. At this time only the federal government is receiving vaccines. They are free to all. You can not buy a vaccination
  9. Unlike Oxxo which are all owned by FEMSA ( they are Coca Cola for all of Mexico), 7-Eleven is a franchise with an individual owner. Could be many reasons it is closing
  10. Scientists gave Russia's Sputnik V vaccine the green light on Tuesday February 2 saying it was almost 92% effective in fighting COVID-19 based on peer-reviewed late-stage trial results published in The Lancet international medical journal. The results, collated by the Gamaleya Institute in Moscow that developed and tested the vaccine, were in line with efficacy data reported at earlier stages of the trial, which has been running in Moscow since September. "The development of the Sputnik V vaccine has been criticised for unseemly haste, corner cutting, and an absence of transparency," said Ian Jones, professor at the University of Reading, and Polly Roy, professor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. "But the outcome reported here is clear and the scientific principle of vaccination is demonstrated," the scientists, who were not involved in the study, said in a comment shared by The Lancet. "Another vaccine can now join the fight to reduce the incidence of COVID-19." The results were based on data from 19,866 volunteers, of whom a quarter received a placebo, the researchers, led by the Gamaleya Institute's Denis Logunov, said in The Lancet. The Sputnik V vaccine is the fourth worldwide to have Phase III results published in leading peer-reviewed medical journals following the shots developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca.
  11. Laredo bridge 2 has not had a Sentri lane for a long time. May 30 2018 was the last day. Sentri is only available on bridge 1 and Columbia in the Laredo area. Exactly where do you pay on Bridge 1 other than the normal bridge toll? All lanes are Sentri only on bridge 1.
  12. It's been open for entry to the US for some time. It remains closed for entry into Mexico Right now 8:20am is 0 minutes Pictures in last 5 minutes
  13. Or available on this web board daily first subject on this forum https://www.chapala.com/webboard/index.php?/topic/88232-official-federal-covid-19-stats-chapala-jocotepec-ixtlahuacán/page/9/#comments
  14. It is celebrated on the Monday before. The next Monday holiday is 15 of March Benito Juarez
  15. It will depend on your port of entry. In Laredo when bridge 1 is open it is only for sentri and could save a lot of time depending on the time of day you would cross. Checking today at 1:50 bridge 1 is under 10 minutes with Sentri brige 2 is 15 minutes general lanes. If you cross at Columbia it might save you 5 minutes 90% of the time. The total cost the last time I checked was about $220 per person. Each person in the vehicle must have the pass. It is good for 5 years. Also you will need to go to a physical appointment for an interview and fingerprinting.
  16. Please ignore me. It makes a lot of sense for you. Que tiene un buen dia P.S. Google is a search engine that I don't use very often
  17. The first article of Mexico's 1917 constitution prohibits "all discrimination motivated by ethnic or national origin, gender, age, disabilities, social condition, health conditions, religion, opinions, preferences, marital status or anything else that threatens human dignity or degrades the rights and liberties of people." Mexico's Law to Prohibit and Eliminate Discrimination also outlaws age-based hiring practices but does not specify a punishment. Now the reality. Employers specify age and sex in hiring. There are discounts provided based on age by government agencies IE; predial, drivers license in Jalisco, Federal Museum entry.
  18. Rules have been changing between you can extend and you can't extend since last some time in the middle of last year. If you are in this situation you should contact one of the experts nearest to you with current knowledge regarding car permits. There ae a couple who post here regularly.
  19. Wow what an illogical statement. To think that someone who came from a different place would be more dangerous than say a Walmart cashier who lives in a house in Chapala with multiple family members, and reuses disposable masks or uses non-disposable masks without proper cleaning between uses. The science has shown in many studies that wearing a KN95 mask (properly), using gel, hand washing, and avoiding prolonged exposure prevents transmission to those using the same regimen. So while you may emotionally think "jaunts to the store" don't count They do.
  20. Actually phase 3 trials are carried out in many different countries for each vaccine candidate. The studies are done by independent trial researchers and reported to the companies as well as reported to the WHO, CDC, and other interested organizations. So while China could lie about trials carried out in China, it would be extremely difficult to censor trial information from other countries. Thus you are seeing results reported in Brazil on one Chinese vaccine with poor results.
  21. You. You think that people from somewhere else don't.
  22. And I have observed Canadians fleeing Covid infested provinces that did not self quarantine...
  23. No it's a Broad Billed Male hummingbird on approach for landing Then about to land at the restaurant
  24. Not the reason????... if you were in a restaurant you could have been exposed.... If you were in Walmart you could have been exposed... If you visited with friends you could have been exposed. So it is a valid question. Do I? No Why? Because I wear a KN95 mask properly, use gel, wash my hands, and social distance. So the odds I have it are extremely small. If I drove to Ajijic from my house in Texas where I had been taking normal precautions am I any more likely to have covid than someone in Ajijic who used their ATM, went to Walmart, and then a restaurant??
  25. Wonder how many self quarantine after eating out or going to Walmart?
