If money is a factor as stated, this sounds like a no-brainer to me. $9-$11,000 here vs less than $1k in California. -
I'm not an Insurance pro, but... Medicare Advantage and a Medicare Supplement to an Original Medicare account are two different animals and cannot be compared in 'any' way. What is fine with one may not be... and probably isn't.... fine with the other. They live under vastly different 'laws'. Both are products of a private medical insurance company but are not similar in most ways.
-
Careful. Medicare Advantage Plans can only be used in an Emergency while traveling abroad... not if one actually lives or winters in Mexico, and then generally only in a 60-day vacation period. Lakeside Medical may not tell you that part.

40 foot!! Really? A lot of people's houses are not 40' wide.

Never say never... especially in Mexico! Someone is going to chime in saying, "mine is fine"....

I'm waiting for someone.... Canadian snowbird probably.... to start offering to buy up Shaw 800 series receivers on the cheap and hauling them back to Canada for resale on Kijiji. π

I strongly agree that if one can purchase an entire mini split system for the equivalent of $235 US that would definitely be the way to go assuming that installation could be 'simple'..
-
I agree that if cost is a factor, a 4000 peso AC and cheaper Mexican labor to cut a whole in the wall surely beats the cost of installing a mini-split system. It would take a long time to make up the cost for the loss of efficiency of a standard window unit vs a mini-split. This of course does not address other meaningful considerations like energy conservation but that's for another 'debate'.

I can see that we've got the wrong person in charge of solving all of our problems....
-
Yes but.... there's a significant cost difference between the two.

Mostly has given exact data to what I was going to only give anecdotal thought... We humans (mostly) just don't remember what we think we can remember. "This is the most snow that I can remember in my life here...." When actual data on snowfall will show MANY times that there was equal or greater amounts here! And it's not just age that causes that to happen. IMO

The analysis showed that the average monthly expenditures for a single person in the city, including rent, is just $861.59, and without rent, it falls to $583.

Of the top five southern cities to retire in for less than $1,500 and COL 25% below the US average, one publication specifically called out the town of Brownsville, Texas, as its top pick. McAllen, Texas, just up the street is in second place thanks to its cost of living being 24 percent lower than the national average. βWith a zoo, state and historical parks, and wildlife refuges, Brownsville offers a happening retirement period for nature enthusiasts,β the website explained of the town located on the western Gulf Coast. βThe cherry on top is the cost of living β 25% lower than the national average β that leaves senior citizens with a spending budget for the nicer things in life.β

Well, it worked!!! -
With the caveat that I have never seen this Dra for anything.... Dra Justina Jimenez at Clinica de Rehabilitacion Intergral... just past Ives restaurant and Dental Express.... has been mentioned many times on this Board as being knowledgable of PRP (and stem cells in general). Maybe a consultation appointment with her could help you in your quest. Good luck.

I also like the fries from Beto's Shack... And their hamburgers also but that is not what this Thread is about I guess.
