Costco Not Respecting New IVA Laws
dcstroker replied to Natasha's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
That was my initial reaction when I started reading this thread. Nothing to prevent them from raising their prices. I've been buying my Purina canned dog food at Pet Avenue because their price per can is cheaper than anywhere else, same as case price. Be interesting to see if it changes. -
Breakthrough covid vax development?
dcstroker replied to Mainecoons's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
And you have supposedly developed countries like the U.S. where there is still a large portion of the population that refuses to get vaccinated. -
We picked up ours at the Wednesday tianguise.

God, are you really that ignorant? Read here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_Texas_power_crisis Texas was unprepared for the cold and tried to save money by skimping on upkeep for their gas lines. And you'll notice some of the big gas companies made billions overcharging their customers, but I guess that's OK with you, after all screw the customers so long as it doesn't hurt the bottom line. -

I'm sure the people living in coastal states would just love it. We're already seeing record number of storms, properties damaged, people being forced to move. I've got some desert property I'd be happy to sell you. -

All you have to do is read the comments below the article to see who it's audience is. -
Hardly a recommendation to keep it in your home. Just because a lot of people do it doesn't make it safe.

When I first started getting my SS check it arrived on the 4th Wed. also. As soon as I changed banks to one here in Mexico it's been arriving on the 4th day.

It's estimated that window strikes kill between 97 million and 957 million a year. Cats kill over 500 million a year. Wind mills kill over 33,000. Maybe to save the birds you should take the windows out of your house and get dogs to take care of the cats. https://www.sibleyguides.com/conservation/causes-of-bird-mortality/ -

They can't "cut it" as you say right now because there's too much opposition to trying to develop alternative energy to it's full potential. From those on the right who think it's some kind of socialist or communist plot to the previously mentioned billionaires who have a vested interest in seeing it fail. -

Oh, and the oil and gas industries and the coal mining companies don't have a vested interest in making sure that we believe it's a fraud? The U.S. could be leading the world in renewable energy and providing jobs for those that have lost theirs in the rapidly declining coal mines but I guess it's better to just keep giving the billionaire owners tax breaks so they can help fund their favorite politician. -
I shop both, it's not that hard. GG has some items that Pancho's doesn't and vice/versa.

I also liked the quantity of tools they carry but was little disappointed that they're almost exclusively Truper.

Looking for high quality upholsterer
dcstroker replied to Mainecoons's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
I would definitely use Oscar. From the simplest job to the most complex he's never let us down. Much better than other upholsterers we've used. -
In the tent.

I put ACD on ignore but his posts still show up. What do I need to do to have him go away?

Have 3 laptop computers that I need to get rid of
dcstroker replied to dcstroker's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Sorry, the Lenovo is gone. -
We've been cleaning house after doing some major remodeling and have 3 laptop computers that we'd like to get rid of (give away). Because of the age of a couple of them don't know if they would even worth messing with. What I've got: Dell Inspiron 8600 (17 yrs old) MSI A6200 (10 yrs old) Any suggestions?

Unless you have someone who has dug their own well on their property or someone who doesn't live there permanently and can simply get a pipa (water truck) delivered when they need it. I live in a fracc also and it's a big problem.

I also use Tamsulosina. Be careful where you buy it. They used to sell it in boxes of 90 capsules but is available now only in boxes of 20. I bought some at Guadalajara pharmacy and it was 139p for 1 box. Week later bought 2 boxes for 79p at Costco, different manufacturer but same product.

Don't know if it changed later but they were allowing people to park in the upper lot by the school. -
The "Misssed First Dose" 60+ dilemma
dcstroker replied to Natasha's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
I'm 73, not been vaccinated before. Got my shot today in Chapala. If you don't have a registration form don't worry they are set up to get it for you, do need the other documents though. They started at 8 and we were out by 10. Very well organized. -
Don't feel bad, you're all not alone. We have megacable and it's continually going out. Could be for 5 minutes or half a day. When we call it's usually a message saying that they're aware of the problem in our area and it will be fixed soon. The last time after they had someone come to our home to inspect they replaced the router, still went out. Now they are saying that it's because they are upgrading the fiber optics. we shall see.

What's supposed to happen after you fill out the registration? My wife and I filled them out over a month ago and have heard nothing.
