  1. I am surprised that Walmart did not find the right person to award the right amount of mordida to get this site configured to thier benefit. There were 3 directions to be able to access the parking lot...from the East, West and North. Now there is only 1, from the West, that has direct access. I am sure there is much head scratching (or head rolling) at the top of the Walmart corporate ladder.
  2. Looked at Barbara's Bazaar and other second hand stores...nada. Not much of a Facebook person, but know there is at least one here that I should be looking at. Can someone send a link to that? Gracias
  3. It's not a matter of being dangerous...just stupid!!!
  4. Just noticed that they are again blocking access into the Walmart parking lot coming south on the Libremento. So if you want to access Walmart coming from SAT or East, you have a dilemma!!! I used to jog up through the Laguna Mall, south on the Libremiento and straight into Walmart...not anymore...It's CRAZY!!!
  5. Thank you for that however I do not think it will work for me. At the start of these instructions it says: "Currently, users must install a provider package in order to stream content within Syncler. However, the developer plans to add support for 3rd party add-ons in the near future." I do not have a "provider", since I gave up Dish Satellite years ago because of the price (US$80 a month for basic) and many outages due to rain and weather and went to the Firestick and apps. I still have 2 huge dishes on top of my house for those who might be interested. I have also run into this problem in trying to download some apps. Is there a way to get a free or cheap "provider package"? Gracias
  6. No Telmex lower SAT. Seems widespread. ¡Viva ILox!
  7. Let's say I sign up for both Syncler+ and Real-Debrid on my Firestick4. What benefits will I get? I am have ILox and get about 80 download speed on my desktop and about 40 from the wi-fi at the front of my TV. I now have many apps that work somewhat but some buffering and "freezes". Also there are some problems with other apps such as Mobdro and RedBox which have basically gone away and I cannot reinstall. Again in not-tech language por favor.
  8. Can the poster or someone here expand on this part of a post above: "Also, check out Syncler+. It's the best streaming service I've found. It costs $1.25 per month US for 5 devices, but it's the best of all the services if you have a Real-Debrid account." I, like many others here am tech challenged but looking at better ways to receive TV through Firestick apps. There are 2 services here that I have never heard about before. Gracias
  9. I have an online business wholesaling traditional Mexican arts and crafts and more. My artists and indigenous family groups that I work with have always had problems getting me quality product photos so have had, in many cases, had to do it myself. Early on there was film and then digital. My last camera, a high quality Canon digital crapped out about a year ago just about the time I had upgraded my cell phone to a Samsung Galaxy S8. I had always dissed phone cameras (a phone is a phone, a camera is a camera), but when I tried it I was shocked! I am getting the same or better quality for the stock shots that I am taking together with my Britex Pro Halo Soft Box lighting. Shooting outside, I am also equally impressed. So the moral is, maybe not up to the standards of top professional photographers, but the cameras on the more recent high end ceil phones are actually very good!!!
  10. I have had Skype for years and have tried to do this before without success but finding that many numbers block the call without the ID. I do go to my account online and there is a place to do this with a drop-down menu listing countries. It seems that every country in the world is listed except Mexico. I have tried to find a customer service # but no luck there either. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Gracias
  11. You have amazing prescience (look it up)!!! I know your response so do not even try!!!
  12. You have a clown there (with blackface) and we have a puppet in the US and nobody knows who is pulling the strings!!!
  13. I repeat: 1...Stop by and visit my friend Francisco's coffee truck parked most days on the caretera just West of Farmecia Guadalajara and buy a 1 kilo bag of his famous Vera Cruz coffee beans for $210 pesos. 2...Go home and grind the appropriate amount in an electric grinder. 3...Put your choice of 1 - 10 cups of water into an electric coffee maker and place appropriate amount of ground coffee in paper filter on top of machine and turn ON. In about 10 minutes you will have an enjoyable cup or more of delicious coffee and a large supply of beans left over to enjoy over many more days and indeed weeks. Why do you need to push water through the coffee grounds or do any of those other extra activities. This is how it has been done for probably thousands of years...leave it alone...you cannot improve on perfection!!!
  14. The Libramiento runs North to South so there is no south-side, only East or West, and I would not recommend anything in those areas, not only for the noise factor but also for ambiance and accessibility to restaurants, shopping and walking that I do in lower SAT daily. My strong recommendation, due to pre-move visits here and 13 year residency is anywhere 2 blocks below the caretera from East La Floresta through SAT and on to West Riberas. Of course I have my own prejudice that might be evident here. Lots of luck and WELCOME!!!
  15. Sorry to say but you have already won that award some time ago!!!
  16. In rereading the OP, my advise would be to stay very clear of the Libramiento. Also in my humble opinion anything North of the caretera is overpriced and also subject to more traffic noise because the noise vibration from the hillsides. So you are left with South of the caretera and in spite of a know-it-all here I can tell you that anything 2 blocks and more down towards the lake you will not be subject to noise from the highway. Again...IN MY HUMBLE OPINION!!!
  17. Again you pontificate about something you have no knowledge of!!!
  18. How can you possibly generalize such a large area of lakeside??? I am sure that 80% of folks who actually live in those areas would disagree with your assessment!!!
  19. Of course this depends on how far below the caretera you live. I have been in lower SAT for 13 years and never have heard that. I would suggest that if you have zeroed in on a house just spend some time camped outside at different periods of time. I do not think that it would be a problem a few blocks south.
  20. I think that someone is simply pointing our stupidly when they see it!!!
  21. Why make life so difficult? The above AeroPress link gives a 10 step instruction to make a cup of coffee. My instruction is much more simple and a lot cheaper: 1...Stop by and visit my friend Francisco's coffee truck parked most days on the caretera just West of Farmecia Guadalajara and buy a 1 kilo bag of his famous Vera Cruz coffee beans for $210 pesos. I am continually amazed at how some make thier lives so difficult by following insane instructions to save the planet...follow the money...the planet will be here long after you are gone!!!
  22. At least someone, somewhere in the cooperate stratosphere has come to thier senses!!!
