  1. BP in west Ajijic is pumping (regular only )now. No lines.
  2. Free beer bottles (empty) to worthy home.
  3. Thank you for all the great information and recommendations. Eventually I'll do a whole house regulator, but not right now. I ended up taking the voltage regulator back to Walmart and getting one designed for appliances with motors (Kolblenz 1500VA) . I've only done 3 loads of clothes, but it seems to be working just fine.
  4. Hensley, thank you for the recommendation. I’ll probably use that number next week.
  5. Tiny, I’m not sure what year I bought it, but believe it is about 6 or 7 years ago.
  6. Johanson, you are way over my head. Are you saying my voltage between 125 and 140 is ok and my problem is probably something else?
  7. Yes, Curmudgeon, thanks. I did clean out the vest last weekend.
  8. Oh, I see on the side of the box of VR I bought that it is for PCs, printers, scanners, iPads, etc. maybe I just need to go back to Walmart and see if there is one for clothes dryers.
  9. I’ve been having trouble with my clothes dryer shutting off after 3-5 minutes. I checked the voltage at the outlet and find it varies throughout the day from 125 to 140 volts. So I assume the problem is my voltage is too high. I bought a Kolblevz 1400 VA voltage regulator at Walmart but it has no affect on the voltage going to the dryer. Whatever it reads at the outlet is the same reading I get from the plug on the regulator. I assume I have bought the wrong voltage regulator or the wrong device. Can anyone tell me what I really need to get my dryer to work? Many thanks.
  10. The surgery went very well. Dr. Ladron was very receptive to my many questions and put me at ease before the surgery. Dulcecita and I arrived at 9 am and left at 12:30 with the 2 extra canine teeth in a cute little container. I thought the cost was very reasonable at 1400 pesos (they also cleaned her teeth and clipped the toenails). The staff was very professional and kind. I could not be happier with the service and the care they gave to my puppy. Thank you all again for the recommendation.
  11. Many thanks to you folks for the recommendations. Dulcecita and I will meet with the surgeon at the Ladron Clinic tomorrow.
  12. I am looking for a recommendation for a local veterinarian for surgery to remove some teeth from my puppy. She is a 1 year old Prague Ratter who still has some of her puppy teeth. I am concerned because of the possible problems with anesthesia since my puppy is small, 4 pounds. I would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you.
  13. Thank you JRod. That is exactly what I was looking for. Your experience makes it clear it is not a path I want to travel just yet. Thank you so much for sharing it with the group.
  14. Yes, I saw that. There is more info on the website I mentioned. My point was it would be nice to hear from someone who has tried it.
  15. Heard there was a new program for pets that are frequent travelers. I Googled and found some info on the Gob.MX website. If anyone has registered for it and tried it, I bet there are a lot of us out here who are interested in how it works.
  16. Thank you, RVGringo and canmex87. I was able to pay in cash at Oxxo. Hopefully delivery won't be a problem like it was with Telcel and I'll have a modem early next week.
  17. I am trying to buy a modem on Mercado Libre. It does not take my credit card. I assume that is because it is a US card. Can anyone confirm that, please?
  18. Whoopee! He's found his forever home. I just got the call that the family that has had the sweet little guy for the past several days has agreed to add him to their family. They have named him Duffy and are delightful folks. I am so happy for him I can hardly stand it. Happy holidays to all.
  19. No, Bdlngton, we have not heard from anyone about him. I've PMed you twice to see if we can meet to see if the 3 dogs will get along. Please call me at 766-4413 to set something up. Thank you.
  20. I also go to Christine. Best hair cuts I've had 10 years...in the US, Canada, or Mexico. Give her a try. Yes, she is fast, but she is also very skilled.
  21. No worries, Bdlngton. If no one claims him, I will contact you and you can see if he fits in with your pack. He's a nice dog, so I don't think it will be hard to find a forever home for him.
  22. Thank you. Flyers are up. Applied to a Google Group and will post there once I have access. I don't have a facebook account. Took him to the vet yesterday and the groomer today. He checked out just fine. He is 4-5 years old. He said that the dog had probably been on the street for quite awhile. And the groomer said he was good on the table and had obviously been groomed before. I will PM you Bdlngton if I don't hear from an owner in a few days. You will have the first option. If anyone else is interested let me know. He really is a nice dog.
  23. This nice black and grey miniature schnauzer? has been hanging around our house for a few days. He has no collar. He is small, about 9 inches at the shoulder. I would guess he weighs about 10 pounds. He does not look like a street dog but may have been lost for a while as his coat is matted and he has picked up some burrs. We ignored him for a few days to see if he would go home, but he shows up on our terrace every morning. I fed him today, but we would like to find his owners. Please PM or call me (766-4413) if you know who his people are. If there is another place to get the word out abou
