  1. I wonder if he listens to scientists and reads unbiased facts from those who don't have an agenda.
  2. "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive". It has been made clear that Ibarra did nothing wrong. Her husband, in whose name the title of car is registered, signed the back. I have no problem with that because it's normal procedure. I DO have a problem with a person who is NOT the registered owner signing the registered owner's name to the back. Geez, people, it's a slippery slope. Where do you draw the line?
  3. Not my leaders, I'm Canadian. The wealthy spew more CO2 into the atmosphere than anyone else. Bigger cars, bigger houses and more air travel. I listen to scientists and try to read unbiased facts from those who don't have an agenda. YMMV.
  4. The signature is on your driver's license and other places. This may have been possible in the past but, in this day of computers, it's risky imho. Whatever works for you.
  5. Go ahead and try that. Let's see what happens.
  6. What you just described is a little different than what you originally wrote. The REAL owner of the vehicle signed... not ANYONE.
  7. "Am I on the road" is not a fun game. Headlights make it even harder to see at night in a blowing snow situation. As the designated driver, I have played this game in rural Northern Ontario. You can't tell the difference between the side of the road and the road itself so you creep along with a death grip on the steering wheel and hope that you can correct the vehicle if you go off track. Should have stayed where we started out but it didn't look that bad in a sheltered residential area with lots of trees. It was when we hit farmland with open fields and no street lighting that I realized I had made a big mistake. We did get home safely.
  8. Nobody said that people who have money also have a brain. On the other hand, anyone who's got that much money would probably just do it again... because they can.
  9. I guess you could but that really doesn't sound very legal to me.
  10. Agree Ibarra. Do NOT call the Red Cross!!! They call the Police which opens a whole can of worms. Examples are Mike Riley (ComputerGuy) and BMH's husband. YOUR Doctor's contact information should be prominently displayed (magnetic card on fridge) and your trusted contact people should be told that and who/what to do and to call IF YOU LIVE ALONE. They should also have keys to your house so as to check on you if they do not receive your daily "I'm still kickin'" text. One thing missing in the below link, is to have vehicles in both names if you are a couple. This translates as "y/o" (and/or) on the title registration. Makes it far easier to sell a vehicle. It's inevitable so make it easy on those who follow so be prepared. Required reading:
  11. Yeah. It would be scary. I'd have to go out and buy an iron.

I have enjoyed eating at this little cafe for a few years now. Never really knew the name of it before. Probably easier to describe it as being just west of Pancho's and on the same side of the highway in Riberas del Pilar.
  13. Volcanic eruptions can cool the earth. https://education.nationalgeographic.org/resource/human-environmental-impact-volcanic-ash/ Can we learn to control them? Not yet but... https://www.popsci.com/geoengineering-volcanic-eruption-climate-change/
  14. Why? There's only so much you can take off to try and stay cool. There are many ways to ameliorate cold.

  16. Ask Intercam. They accept personal Canadian cheques if you have an account with them.
  17. Is this your guy? https://clinicadentalmartinriva.es/nuestro-equipo/dr-jose-antonio-martin-riva-porrua/
  18. It's not nuts and it's definitely not funny. Some of us are actually worried about the lives of the people who come after us... including our grandchildren who are not living in this still quite beautiful place.
  19. Maybe he transplants hair onto big toes... or removes it for one of his other procedures.
  20. Eureka! I accidentally downloaded a Beta version which does not permit calls. Went to the Microsoft store and downloaded the correct one and now I'm back in business. Then I uninstalled (got that down pat) the Beta version. Took me three frickin' hours to figure this all out.
  21. Ken, for messaging and calls?
  22. This is the link that I used to find help... https://www.makeuseof.com/whatsapp-desktop-not-working-tips-to-fix-it/ Currently, I am getting into whatsapp on the computer by going to "whatsapp web" which I clicked on after googling it. That brings it up again but I can only send messages and I cannot make calls. I have lost count of the number of times that I have deleted whatsapp and started over again. Seriously glitchy right now.
  23. Same thing happened to me and it's annoying. I had to google for the answer for my particular ancient cell phone (Samsung S4). Generally, you have to go into the whatsapp app on your phone and choose "link devices" and scan the code on the phone to get the laptop app working again. Unfortunately, as soon as you shut off your laptop, it happens again and you have to do the same thing every time. Ridiculous but it's a work around. I prefer to make whatsapp calls to Canada using the laptop so I don't have the cell phone stuck to my ear when chatting with family.
