  1. The one located at the last set of lights leaving Ajijic to go west has much better parking. Better yet, let your fingers do the walking and call Alejandra at that location ... 376-766-4236 extension 7856
  2. There are quite a number of them available but in Monterrey. A google search will give you an idea... with a filter at the top to keep out debris and mosquitoes and a tap at the bottom to which you attach a hose. Basically tall cylinders that don't occupy a lot of space. Tinaco vertical tricapa (600/800/1000 litros)... and Tlaloc has the same configuration... https://aquaforte.mx/ https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx/MLM-2875313300-captador-de-agua-de-lluvia-_JM#position=25&search_layout=grid&type=item&tracking_id=c0481473-af2f-44b0-940d-5be9c71b37b6 This might do the trick but they are a lot smaller and I wasn't that impressed with the reviews of leaks at the seam... https://www.amazon.com.mx/EJWOX-Barriles-exteriores-colección-recogedor/dp/B0BW2884S9/ref=sr_1_29?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.1aQdBFBV6LvWo0G0Uatn81wEdqUt2FZQO4b9YLE9VKINZDd65V2dAbqW-DD_j7ddjNHy7fw1_sBLgAxJirP1RxrdH3dhbczDym8p0ZjU5QpiqTO1QmmTTKh0o5arrwkYv5i2OqEekPLWA_m9kOS1cMTU48y4RCu5h0xskIfyKG9SMDeJq_vm57cREGB-qwgy4i-p9CWOFDVQzTS-eeKjy3aJHGV6tuEnAfVes0XMNY5L7afRNRVcIUPtYQjBGPSUtUKSM1uE5dm3gotVYO_SDkSTR1HrN59X2II0Bcav3n0.c1wk3OGi7vQGDDK3m9YGb-H1Vha1SYfqT9Cjqgjof3I&dib_tag=se&keywords=coleccion+de+lluvia&qid=1708173614&sr=8-29&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.4e545b5e-1d45-498b-8193-a253464ffa47 This is the newer version but has no reviews... https://www.amazon.com.mx/EJWOX-Barriles-colección-resistente-exteriores/dp/B0CRY34LC9/ref=sr_1_18?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.gaEhALIH4iOG8hTwCzxQaKCS1MM1rCs5N6FL71jYSzQzv8F70YJZhrcQA-_LIzKVB2_4qlmVs_vo1la4aLu9QUlWLwTehq4SsRjMm27uH8PJgnelqjgQgFm_KP3i6FKTWQYKK55jgQ1DNWL91kiDrYue8qs_GZ9KNmXALm7y5zEaiknXRQuJkOxBaM7xvK9MsSwUONpSI4TznVSmb64FzJ2bJ0J-gGrLKOpwlZCbNADoqOwCflH85Py_HMco01AYQ67O5OKzrBXxcsCmvZpUF8ulaEv6iA_C7koDjdPYP74.em1_BuMRMVASLDHYYzZrEeOd1-Yn1wp10C6dgNonPO4&dib_tag=se&keywords=EJWOX&qid=1708130208&sr=8-18&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.a9e70178-7411-4f75-8d83-e6796a165895 Maybe these (100 gallon) but I've read that these "collapsible" rain barrels can, indeed, collapse... https://www.amazon.com/Rain-Barrel-Collection-System-Gallon/dp/B0C4THRNL7/ref=sr_1_113_sspa?crid=1SQK6FIG8EUVB&keywords=rainwater%2Bcollection%2Bsystem&qid=1708131285&sprefix=rainwater%2Caps%2C197&sr=8-113-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1 Sigh. This is to fit under a staircase to the roof and probably far more information than anyone asked for.
  3. We should not only be thankful for every drop of water, we should be actively conserving water at every opportunity. I want to collect rain water run off from my roof to be able to use it in my garden. Actually finding the proper containers (with the hardware) is proving to be very difficult. Has anyone seen any locally or in Guadalajara?
  4. I understood that "the food that was sent back to the kitchen wasn't paid for". The OP did not state whether they ordered other things to replace those orders. I can tell you that I have heard this story about Adelitas from others. Too bad because it used to be an awesome restaurant with wonderful ambience, food and courteous staff. Anyone know if it was sold to new management? The Food Container used to be good too then it was bought. I ordered one of their famous burgers and only ate a few bites. It was AWFUL. I complained to the new owner and was not offered either an apology, an explanation or a discount. I left with the uneaten food still sitting on the plate and, although I did pay, I will never ever go back. I appreciate the heads up about the change in Adelitas but there are more than enough restaurants that do give a damn to bother with those that don't.
  5. Not to mention double jointed thumbs from texting.
  6. I have never been more grateful for my new minisplit that heats as well as cools. Best winter ever! "I don't care if it rains or freezes, long as I've got my plastic... minisplit". Heat in May and June? Bring it ON!
  7. Since it is Valentine's Day, I resent your original comment. You seem to have missed the intent of the posts entirely with that comment. If it was Christmas, I would say, "Bah Humbug, Grinch".
  8. The symbol of the heart has been around for a VERY long time...https://ideas.ted.com/how-did-the-human-heart-become-associated-with-love-and-how-did-it-turn-into-the-shape-we-know-today/
  9. Very interesting Tim! I watched a couple of more videos on Vetiver grass after your initial video. Looks like it might also be good idea to plant it in the various arroyos in areas prone to flooding.
  10. LOL. You mean in Ajijic where they are digging up streets to replace the old sewer pipes? Personally, I live in Riberas and would welcome the short term pain for long term gain. On the other hand, I have never experienced the smell of sewage anywhere in Riberas. I hope a better system happens and then they can move on to other areas like La Floresta.
  11. https://www.alliance4creativity.com/watch-legally/ The short form of this website is called ACE as referenced in the video that I provided. Watch whatever you want. I don't really care.
  12. Technically, Shaw is only available to those with a residence and an account in Canada so many have been using Shaw illegally here for many, many years. Yes, many were paying for the service but through loopholes that operated in a gray area. We shared an account with my son in Toronto when we lived in San Pancho. He was the primary account holder and we used one of his "other receivers" in Nayarit. I won't get into the programming available on Firesticks but some of the comments about them having to be "reprogrammed" gives me pause. There IS a legal website for streaming and/or on demand free content and that is PlutoTv https://pluto.tv/en/live-tv/5e793a7cfbdf780007f7eb75 If you click on the link I just provided, you will get everything in Spanish. If you use a vpn and use either a city in the U.S. or in Canada, then the content will be in English. Legality... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pluto_TV
  13. Call and ask to speak to Alejandra de la Torre Pulido. She is a senior account executive and speaks perfect English
  14. "Checking the balance" and "payments" should have been good clues. People get cranky when their money is involved.
  15. That whole intersection is a death trap. Now when you're coming down the libramiento to TURN LEFT to go east on the carretera, there is not only a "turn left" arrow, there is ALSO a "turn right" arrow. And people use it too instead of the ramp to go to the right. Speaking of the ramp, they should have a solid RED signal (not a red arrow) to stop people from making the turn. A very expensive sports car nearly creamed me last Saturday because he just couldn't wait his turn. I leaned on my horn and the air turned BLUE in my car and I didn't stop swearing until the next set of lights.
  16. Let me know how that works out for you when you're sitting in jail for having caused an accident with injury. Vuelta con flecha. Turn WITH arrow. If there's no arrow, you can't turn. Period.
  17. I also use google to ask questions and find the links to this forum that pertain to the question asked. The search function on this site really does suck.
  18. I don't know when or with whom at Intercam that you spoke Lexy but I am including this thread from 2022 that says they DO accept Social Security direct deposit...
  19. Ah Mexico. The only country where you look both ways before crossing a one way street.
  20. Doesn't matter what the signs say because many do not pay attention to them. If a cop sat at that intersection, he could write tickets all day long and still miss some offenders.
