several teenagers were able to bring three flying ribeyes down with their slingshots but most of the flying ribeyes were out of range.

I need to file a FBAR and need assistance
Fred Habacht replied to Fred Habacht's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Thank you...I did contact him and he responded quickly. I will file, as is required, in 2022 when the next tax reporting is required. I have noticed that Lakeside7 is wrong nearly 110% of the time so I ignore that advice. I know that it is your duty to avoid over paying taxes by any LEGAL means. Dual citizenship does not excuse US Tax reporting requirements. Even with a Mexican Passport...I still must report my US income or foreign bank accounts....based on the actual deposits. There are laws that prevent a dual citizen from paying taxes twice but this is a reporting requirement only. -
I need to file a FBAR and need assistance
Fred Habacht replied to Fred Habacht's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
We were able to remove my wife's SSN but my request was rejected as they said the account was over 5 years old and was opened as an individual account with my paperwork. I agree about the "we have no customer service" at the bank, but I am willing to jump thru some hoops while keeping this account open......so I will file the FBAR and hope that some moron government official in the USA raises the base level for reporting or drops this annoyance altogether. -
I need to file a FBAR and need assistance

Thanks...we are Mexicans as well and BBVA has notified us that they will file anyway. In 2020 the account never exceeded $5000 us in value but this month $30,000 in usd value hit the account as a medical reimbursement and there will be many more large and small deposits. I know that I do not need to file until 2021 taxes are due but I just wanted get my ducks in a row. -

I appreciate your information but, at least for the first time, I want an accountant to file for me. Some problems are; I can't say how much the account will have in it as medical services can debit or add deposits sometimes without my knowledge. -
I have a non-interest bearing account in Bancomer...which is used solely for insurance (medical) reimbursement. Prior to this date it never exceeded $2000 usd after peso conversion but it now has exceeded over $10,000 usd after conversion. I am now required to file and there is no way to avoid that. I don't want to guess at this so I need a professional to do this now and for the future. Thanks.

Need for filing existence of foreign tax account
Fred Habacht replied to gringal's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
The only "catch" is that your account can NEVER have $10,000 or more as a total for even a single minute. -

Country wide power outage is due tonight !
Fred Habacht posted a topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
I think my information is correct! My wife is on 24 hours O2 with a concentrator. Our doctor informed me that the power grid will go off from 6:00 till 11:00 pm tonight. Mexico has an agreement with USA power grid and Texas will be drawing power from Mexico due to their weather emergency. Please have your alternate lighting devices handy. I have no other information at this time. -
Hensley does a better job and she doesn't put down the products offered. Some of the volunteers at the bazaar can be very critical of any dings and scratches....

Repair of a porcelain figurine
Fred Habacht replied to Fred Habacht's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Freight/customs both ways plus their prices would reach $500.00 usd plus. It is the right place for my repair but the wrong country. What I've got is a figurine called "wild horses," three horses with their legs kicking by jjadro, (spelling), I ve got a crack showing and some space on the leg I have repaired.......I just can't pay that price and the maid will probably bust it again. Thanks for the contact. -
Repair of a porcelain figurine
Fred Habacht replied to Fred Habacht's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
I used acetone to clean the broken horses leg from an earlier damage then bought a product called TOP because, Gorilla super glue was not to be found here and TOP has a 5 second grip and hold guarantee....it worked. There is an obvious seam where the repair was made....but the horse is back to a 4 legged variety. Thanks for the advice. -
Our maid, who we couldn't live without, breaks things...and this time it is a valued figurine. Does anyone Lakeside repair porcelain damage? My wife really loves this piece. Thanks.

I just returned from a stop at Walmart.....I have snow white hair and I am 81 yrs old....I couldn't get away with denying I am over 60 if my life depended on it....I stopped did the hand station, then temperature check....wiped the wagon down and walked in........on my way home, I stopped at Bodega, a Walmart owned unit, no one at the door and no one even looked at me..........

The poster who "knows" someone who was denied entry "somewhere" is also the same one that couldn't find "large eggs" a few weeks ago and needed help. -
Saturday is not a regular business day unless you have an appointment for a doctor to come in just for you.

Usually a maximum of 10% but the Federal congress allowed up to 50% increase this year to pay for extensive improvements....they may or may not happen but the increase surely will.
