  1. I've read about this pharmacy and was wondering if there is just one location or if it is a chain? I've read that they usually have better prices and that for prescriptions, one should check. Also Is Farmacia Cristina at only one location or is ot a chain? Thanks for any input.

  2. Sunday AM I went to Walmart. I started to grab a shopping cart ,but a local man insisted I look over nearer the door. He has several ready to go, after he disinfected the handle. And he was wiping off more. I had planned to do it myself, was  appreciative that he had done it. And gave him a few pesos. So if you are headed to Walmart, maybe you could spare a few coins for these guys.

  3. Followed Ian's advice and ordered a large pepperoni and onion last night. Ready in 15 minutes, cost $200 and was good. The crust was chewy and delicious. Good sauce and nice amount of toppings. I talked the them a few weeks back and I know they had some startup problems in their new  place. Give them a try so that they can still be here when this virus problem is over.

Harry, I have a monthly donation to the Shrine through PAypal. When I signed up years back, I asked for it to go to Mexico. Is there any way to check on this? I really want it to go to mexico and could donate directly if it is not happening. Eleanor on Independencia

come join us a meet the members.

    we have 32 kayaks

we do not rent kayaks, but a member can work out something with you, so you can get out on the lake safely.

TraderSpoc, is the group still active and if so how can someone (2 friends) contact you to possibly arrange a kayaking adventure in later July? Any help, GRACIAS.

    The fees are as follows:

2500 pesos per year, 4000 for couple, for two years, 600 pesos per year after that.

1000 peso one time fee to rent space if you have your own kayak.

If you are interested in trying out kayaking we charge 150 pesos per day. You will need to be a guest of a member (this is never a problem as we are all happy to host new people). The fee includes use of the kayak, paddle, and vest. The member will also stay with you to guide you and help you. If you decide to become a member we also require that you take a safety test in the event you fall out of the kayak.

As stated previously we get together for lunch at Maria Isabel on Thurs. around 11:30. Good time to meet members and inspect the equipment.

I have guests coming to Ajijic in a few weeks. Can anyone comment on the daily rate (rental, correct) and Thursday is the day at 11:30?

    Any info helpful.

The U.S. warden posts the rates here on chapala.com as he receives them from the U.S. Consulate. The rates referenced above are correct. The warden generally receives the official rates the Friday or at the latest the Monday before the visit.

IF there was a change at the last minute it would also be posted here as soon as received. THE ABOVE REFERENCED RATES ARE CORRECT AND ARE TO BE FOUND IN CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATIONS.

Where are these posts? call me dumb, whatever but I can't find them!

  8. Ate there last week for dinner. I had spinach cannelloni, DH had Chicken limon, picatta, whatever they called it. Both were good. 2 wines each ($80 pesos per). Service was slow and they were not particularly busy. Enjoyed it and will return.
