  4. Interesting. I don't spend my spare time trying to verify the science behind vaccinations. So why do some people spend hours finding isolated reports trying to debunk the science? What is there to gain? What a waste of time.

  6. The article from Mainecoons specifically leads off with this: Just as antibiotics breed resistance in bacteria, vaccines can incite changes that enable diseases to escape their control. Researchers are working to head off the evolution of new threats. We know this, have for decades. One of the reasons Mexico banned antibiotics over the counter. It's nature. And researchers are continually looking for ways to fix this. Where would be be if naysayers had the Internet back when antibiotics were being developed? In the dark ages. Where some seem intent on pushing us now. Using a headline like that as a scare tactic is highly misleading.

  9. That glyphosate biodegrades fully was/is an unfortunate obfuscation promoted by Monsanto/Bayer. It destroys or inhibits many beneficial soil microorganisms. Perhaps worse it has become a popular 'tool' of many large grain farmers in Canada and the US to hasten senescence making for a timely harvest. Because of this, glyphosate is detectable in many vegetable oils (especially canola) and virtually all cereals. Nice eh?

  11. You know how avocado trees flowering have hundreds of flowers but since male and female trees open at different times it make it hard for making pollination? Fruit trees are favored over avocado so if you mist a light solution of 1:4 honey to water on the avocado flowering areas you'll get the bees to pollinate much more than usual. You should get loads of fruit. Figures to work with other fruit trees too.

  19. Alan's Automotive service and repair In Chapala. 331-176-9733. He is very fond of and knowledgeable about old VW bugs. He has maintained my 1992 bug for several years. He has found and replaced old parts. He re-did my suspension with air bags and new bigger tires which has transformed my ride esp. on cobblestones. He also re-did my entire interior to my custom specifications. I trust him completely. I have used Ron Young but greatly prefer Alan. He also comes and gets my car in La Floresta for servicing and returns it to my house (I tip him for that) and his prices are very fair. He has always treated me right.

  25. The trouble is, it can be raining very hard in one neighborhood and not in another. I have a favorite weather site for Ajijic, but that only talks about a very small area of the lake. Their URL is https://www.ajijicweather.com It also shows the lake level over the three previous years. Yes the lake is lower than it was at this time for the previous 3 years, but the lake level is climbing faster than the previous 3 years.

  27. MC, I don't know of any cell data plan that is concerned about the 'time' that one is connected to the service. Data used is the only metric. We do the same thing that you are anticipating.... boondocking where there is no wifi but rather tethering our 2 iPads to either an iPhone or Android. Be aware that (some/most?) US plans will 'regulate' your tethering.... your tethered speed may be slower... maybe even 3G.... and there 'may' be a limit as to how much data you can use. My T-Mobile plan is unlimited data in the US, but when tethered it drops to maybe 5 gigs free for that tether. One can chew up a lot of data if participating in youtube, Facebook pics, down/up loading pictures, etc etc. The good news is that one can 'buy' some extra Gigs 'by the month' for this purpose. Been there done that. Also I'm not sure what speeds/data are available from Telcel when one is roaming in the US with another cellphone partner. I know that my T-Mobile plan partners with Telcel when I am in Mexico BUT my data cap is not unlimited there like in the States but rather 5Gigs/month with TelCel. And service will not be LTE but 3G. Maybe the reverse is different, but.....

  28. The Delta strain first appeared in India where they were using ivermectin instead of getting vaccinated. Do we really want to follow India’s example? your senility may be a sign of COVID-19. Have you been tested?

  29. Avoid anyone who leaves you unsure that they have been vaccinated. Wear your mask and offer them one. If they refuse, stuff it in their throat and pinch their nose for four minutes. It may help the pandemic and the gene pool.

  32. Sometimes we all have moments when we’re at a loss, we’re frustrated and we share our feelings and what we hope to get back is…I hear you buddy, it sucks your electricity (for example) has gone out 5 times this week, that must be frustrating. What’s not helpful, is someone saying…oh really, I don’t have any problems with my electricity, must be your attitude. If your friend, your neighbor, your kid, whatever, shares their feelings or frustrations with you, would you say too bad, the problem is you? I hope you wouldn’t do that. If you wouldn’t say it out loud to someone’s face, let that give you pause as to whether you should type it from behind your keyboard. Remember the old adage, if you can’t say something nice or supportive or humorous, better to say nothing at all.

  33. Your observations are accurate. I am reluctant to post anything because someone invariably finds the need to criticize instead of help. I don't know what makes people behave this way.

  34. I'm guessing Zeb is not going to ask for this kind of help here again. Too bad. Seems to me that he/she DOES have a right to protect the home property/fence and has seemingly done the right thing first for 2 years.... contact the neighbor looking for a solution.... to no avail.

  35. It was invented by a woman decades before Covid 19 and invented for all diseases that require vaccine. "Katalin Karikó spent the 1990s collecting rejections. Her work, attempting to harness the power of mRNA to fight disease, was too far-fetched for government grants, corporate funding, and even support from her own colleagues." https://www.statnews.com/2020/11/10/the-story-of-mrna-how-a-once-dismissed-idea-became-a-leading-technology-in-the-covid-vaccine-race/

  37. I can't get through to either their USA or Mexico numbers. I have questions if anyone here has used it. I understand Managed Care. If I sign up for the Plan C that works in Mexico, if I go back to the U.S. can I use my regular benefits (like my doctors in the U.S.)? If I want to drop the Plan C, can I return to regular Medicare without problems? If you have this group, has it worked OK for you? Thanks.

  38. My computer ace, Adrian, uses an electronics repair shop in Guadalajara. Has all the scopes and testers. In Canada, where I am from, there is only one guy in Quebec who can do board level repairs on automobile computers, which can cost much over $2,000 to replace. He makes the repair, couriers you back the board, with a one year warrantee, for a lot less money. Adrian and his brother play around with electronics repairs. They are better than I am. Do you want their number? There is an oldschool way of feeling around circuit boards to find the 'hot' components, then freeze them with Freon. I just realised I have spent way too much time hanging around with geeks. And myself, the Mad Professor.

  40. How vaccines cause pathogens to mutate faster: https://www.quantamagazine.org/how-vaccines-can-drive-pathogens-to-evolve-20180510/ Look how fast this latest strain Delta showed up. And look how many vaccinated are now getting covid. A prudent person would cover their bets by being fully up to speed on treatments that have proven effective in very widespread use. This is called empirical evidence and it works a lot more often then it doesn't. Proven treatments are available here OTC and it doesn't take a lot of research to find out correct dosage rates and time of usage. Or you can just keep relying on the "experts" who have been wrong a lot more than they've been right. Your body your choice.
