If the tree cannot be trimmed any further back away from your property, how about simply picking up whatever debris falls onto your property and putting it in the trash? I own a home in a heavily forested neighborhood in the States, and cannot imagine how I would react to a "politely worded" letter from my neighbor asking me to keep my trees' leaves from blowing onto her property. I doubt, though, that the letter would be received favorably. Leaves and other debris from trees scatter. That's nature. In the interest of friendly neighborly relations, I suggest coping with it -- and I don't intend this to come across mean spiritedly.10 points

Sometimes we all have moments when we’re at a loss, we’re frustrated and we share our feelings and what we hope to get back is…I hear you buddy, it sucks your electricity (for example) has gone out 5 times this week, that must be frustrating. What’s not helpful, is someone saying…oh really, I don’t have any problems with my electricity, must be your attitude. If your friend, your neighbor, your kid, whatever, shares their feelings or frustrations with you, would you say too bad, the problem is you? I hope you wouldn’t do that. If you wouldn’t say it out loud to someone’s face, let that give you pause as to whether you should type it from behind your keyboard. Remember the old adage, if you can’t say something nice or supportive or humorous, better to say nothing at all.5 points

According to the border agents in Laredo no. And a couple of months ago at CBX no. Just fly to LAX or San Antonio as many others have done. You can return the same day.2 points

In science knowledge doesn’t arrive in an orderly fashion. There are discoveries that never provide any discernible benefit for ages. Just look at the ideas of Galileo or Da Vinci. We were very lucky that mRNA knowledge was available when we most needed it. Those who died during the 1920 pandemic weren’t so lucky. We are and we can’t allow the doubting morons to prevail or we’ll go right back to the dark ages.2 points

I was not a witness to the accident, only the tragic aftermath. Given that particular unencumbered stretch of the carretera through La Floresta and the very-early morning hour in which the accident occurred, I'm guessing excessive speed was also a factor in the senseless loss of life -- as well as possible driver impairment. I've almost come to prefer the now-frequent times of traffic congestion on the carretera, where at least the speeds are slow enough that the likelihood of becoming involved in a fatal accident is reduced. Of course, wearing a helmet and obeying traffic laws if you're a motorcyclist helps too. I'm appalled everyday by instances of reckless driving practices I see around here.2 points

Your observations are accurate. I am reluctant to post anything because someone invariably finds the need to criticize instead of help. I don't know what makes people behave this way.1 point

I'm guessing Zeb is not going to ask for this kind of help here again. Too bad. Seems to me that he/she DOES have a right to protect the home property/fence and has seemingly done the right thing first for 2 years.... contact the neighbor looking for a solution.... to no avail.1 point

I had problems when I stored a vehicle in a secure place in PV. They wanted keys to the car in case they had to move it. It took me awhile to realize that they were renting out the car when I was up north. I started keeping track of the odometer and one time they turned it back too far so I built my own garage. Then mice got in and chewed some of the wires and they had a nest behind the dash. One day when driving baby mice fell down to my feet.1 point

Cynoff and Home Defense are TERRIBLE for the environment, especially for bees (disappearing all too fast without our "help") and fish (when you wash sprayers etc. and it goes down your drains to the lake). It is also, as are all permethrin and cypermethrinin compounds, deadly for cats. If they get it on their paws(when wet or damp) and lick them to clean, it is highly likely they will die or at least be seriously ill.1 point

Read the article. She works for the company that believed in her invention. There are dozens of other vaccines that are being developed for decades long before a Covid 19 virus.1 point

Maybe not the answer you are looking for, but as an option: You can add packages while out of Mexico, if needed, by using the XOOM site. Select Reload, then Mexico. The money goes through PayPal. Same prices as doing it here. Also works well Lakeside when you run out of phone time and it is raining hard outside. 😄 https://www.xoom.com/mexico/mobile-reloads1 point

It was invented by a woman decades before Covid 19 and invented for all diseases that require vaccine. "Katalin Karikó spent the 1990s collecting rejections. Her work, attempting to harness the power of mRNA to fight disease, was too far-fetched for government grants, corporate funding, and even support from her own colleagues." https://www.statnews.com/2020/11/10/the-story-of-mrna-how-a-once-dismissed-idea-became-a-leading-technology-in-the-covid-vaccine-race/1 point

As a young teenager a friend built a minibike with a 2 cycle chainsaw engine with its centrifugal clutch. Clutch wasn't good enough to grab and take off from a stand still so he ran with it and took off like a bat out of yah. He didn't install brakes Shoes took a beating. Be sure to practice screaming so you can tell everyone what's wrong with the build while screaming by It's funny looking back thinking of him screaming and laughing about brakes.1 point

Interesting piece of data here. An anomaly or a trend? This is readily checked so I won't list the source because it would just result in an ad hom deluge and none of you would go look it up like I did. The numbers are correct for the two week time period cited. And a rather interesting graph:1 point

How much pollution does a battery operated car make? Well none but the process of making these high tech wonders causes huge amounts of pollution. Go read bout it as it is quite interesting. I drive a 2007 Nissan city car that has airbags and a catalytic converter and we don't drive much car has 50,000 KM on it. I contend my car pollutes less than the manufacturing pollution created from these huge rolling piles of batteries. How much pollution does it take to charge these batteries in Mexico using oil to generate the electricity. Don't get me wrong a Tesla is an amazing car and it is the right way to go but pollution free not in a million years. Gringo old truck with a rebuilt engine driven a little does a lot less harm than buying a new truck and the pollution all this high tech creates. We need to look at total cost of making and charging these cars. Even if you use solar panels to charge car panels have a pollution cost. Its not a simple problem.1 point

You can go back and forth there if you are an American with no problems. I imagine Canadians can also. You might need a Covid-19 test not over 3 days old. My friends in San Diego cross back and forth with no test often. The border on the Mexican side was never closed to anyone. They just said it was.0 points

The palm tree droppings are not hanging on my side. They are on her side, however, when they fall, because of wind and weather, they end up landing on my fence or in my yard. This is the problem.0 points

You would end up as a quad if you tried to drive that - a quadrapalegic! All the ones I have seen use a VW engine and rear end. 1600 cc. Looks like something I tried to build when I was 13. With a BSA Bantam 2 stroke engine.0 points
