  1. Google can get a good source for this question.. look at reliable medical sources for opinions .. one site - Cleveland Clinic which is a reliable source of info - essentially says - do not mix .. Do You Have to Get the Same COVID-19 Vaccine or Can You Mix Shots? – Health Essentials from Cleveland Clinic

  2. The reason they give for not mixing is β€œβ€The safety and effectiveness of mixed vaccines has not be studied and more research is needed.”

  3. Gosha's has long been on my list of favorites. The garden setting is pleasant and the food is very good. I usually order one of the kabobs. The barbeque does it well. They have the tables set well apart during this covid situation. It's especially nice after dark with the many lights in the trees.

  4. If you find no one, there are plenty of 'drivers' locally that one can call. Maybe 600-1000 pesos but if it gets you your 2nd shot it's worth it IMO.

  5. Looks like you can take your chances on getting the second shot late or not at all. Or you can take your chances getting a different vaccine for your second shot. Like everything else about this pandemic we are left to make the best decision we can on limited and/or conflicting information. Best of luck.

  7. I think it is like everything about Covid19: no one really knows for sure. It may be just fine but it might not. Probably worst case scenario is that it would not be as effective. What is their reasoning for doing it and suggesting you do the same?

  9. Sounds like they are in a candy store, mix & match. Why make a "controversial " subject more complicated , or maybe they like being ginepigs?

  10. I don't think an abanil would take kindly to being cleaned by a handyman, regardless of whether he was collapsing or not. πŸ™‚ Abanil= mason Aljibe= cistern

  11. I use JP Home Services. Contact Jurgen at 331-841-4159 and he will organize it. His guys arrive with a pump to empty both the aljibe and the tinaco quickly to the street or wherever you want it used. Three guys showed up to do mine and they were done in a few hours.

  12. Most likely the gardener can handle it, or would know someone who can. Dump, scrub, rinse, fill tank and lines with some water / cloro mix, clean water rinse / drain lines again, good to go.

  13. Think about how hot the water gets at this time of the year and especially so if your tinaco is black. Now think about what living anything might survive in that water. Dirt (which is in abundance in the water in Riberas) will be there for sure. Clean your tinaco out once a year.

  14. I try not to think about what's in there.

  15. I would think it depends on how tinaco was hooked up to the system. I have had them where water into ajibe then to tinaco and exit from there. Reason was to gravity feed in advent of power outage.

  16. Dealing with tinacos and cleaning them I'd say that your garderner has been using the water from the tinaco but still just in case id recommend to get them thoroughly cleaned out

  17. Higher? Lower? The "bolsa de energia" should reflect the most recent 12 months and take both credits, and use of credits, into account. Plus....well....it's CFE... you know.

  18. They are still monitoring my cataracts. My problem is my left eye is 95 - 98 percent, but my right eye is about 43%. No matter how hard I try, MsChillin will not let me to buy a monocle. Some people are just plain no fun.

  19. Yes, astigmatism 'blurs' one's vision.... creates two visions apart from each other. The worse it is the farther the 2 visions are apart. Not fun. Yours is obviously 'mild'. Astigmatism is corrected (in contacts for example) by using a 'Toric lenses'...slightly weighted on one side to make/keep it aligned on the axis your eyes need for correction. Same for cataract lenses replacement if one has astigmatism and wants to correct the astigmatism with the inserted lenses vs. wearing glasses (to correct any existing/residual astigmatism). That's what I had a couple years ago with success. I still have to use 'cheaters' for reading. Otherwise my vision after cataract surgery, using a toric lenses insert, is 20/20. I don't know if the technology is there yet to get the multifocal lenses timjwilson got AND correct for astigmatism yet.

  22. From the article you quoted, one Beyond Burger simply isn't high in sodium. Even if your doctor wants you to follow a low-sodium diet, the recommended daily amount for people with high BP or other ailments, is 1,500 mg per day. For people with NO medical need for lower sodium the recommended daily amount is 2,300 mg. The Beyond Burger has only 380 mg.

  24. You can take the Sinovac now, and have some measure of protection. When something else you deem better comes along you can take it at that time. Waiting, on the off chance that a country might not accept any one brand of vaccine, just makes it harder for Mexico to approach heard immunity. France is now recommending a third dose of Pfizer & Moderna for people with "compromised" immune systems. So Will some people need to prove they have received 3 doses to enter France?? Doubtful Just get vaccinated now to protect us all.

  25. Over a year ago, we put a new tinaco on the roof of our casa. We returned to the states planning to come back to Mexico in 6 months. Covid prevented this but we are now vaccinated and ready for return. My concern is the water in the tinaco is now over a year old. We have a gardener and he has been watering the garden but I am sure this water comes directly from the aljibe. I wonder if the water in Riberas is treated in any way, if not I am afraid the water in the tinaco will be full of algae and other pollutants. Any suggestions?
