Gualberto Real and Son. They fix ovens, stovetops, dishwashers, washers, dryers and refrigerators. 331-026-5450 That said, everyone should now go and find out where their gas shutoff valve is for the stove. Start at the back of the stove and follow the line. You SHOULD have one inside the kitchen and probably closer to the stove than you think. The black caps that fit over the actual burner often start to rust underneath and will keep clogging your burners. They can be replaced... and the burner pulls up and off so it can be cleaned. It's just part of regular maintenance... which is a whole lot more economical than replacing the stove. The thermostat for the oven can also be replaced.4 points

Replaced my gas lines with Durman pipe on the exterior. This should have been used initially in the house construction, won't rust or leak, unlike the galvanized pipe typically used. Didn't want to rip up the floor which the plumber was too ready to do. Job done within a few hours using this Durman system.2 points

If you don't want to dig up your floors and replace tile, you can have the gas line rerouted up and over the roof. This is now the second house that I've lived in Lakeside that has had that done. Old pipes and earth tremors cause the pipes to fail. I'd rather have pipes where I can see their health and smell it if there's a problem.2 points

I would replace all the pipes.. chances are if the system is old it’s rusted out, if you fix that leak it will probably leak somewhere else, As big a job as it might be do it once and be done with it..2 points

Sometimes people just go overboard trying to impress, mostly themselves, and anybody else who will listen, about all their knowledge and wisdom on just about any topic. In this case.....Its all the time.1 point

I've said it before and I will say it again: that's the way threads work. I challenge you to find a chat board that is as strict as you would like this one to be. And I reiterate, there is still an opening for moderator here. The original topic here was a simple statement. It was not a question and required no comment. Following your way, it would have been perhaps the only post, period. At least this one got interesting on very related topics.1 point

I have had several rainbird specialists attend my system. They were expensive and did partial work. I just had plumber Arturo attend my system and it works better than ever before. He speaks english and shows up! 3336612193. Tell him Harry sent you. Good luck1 point

Some good info here on variants and how they may avoid the immune response....stay safe everyone. Canada is losing the race between vaccines and variants as the 3rd wave worsens | CBC News1 point

I don't disagree with your post, other than about grilling for one or two. I do it daily on my well-seasoned gas grill. And by "well-seasoned" I mean, rarely cleaned 😊 My grill heats up to 400 degrees in 5 minutes and with the lid down, holds that temperature with the knobs turned to low. I can grill a nice piece of salmon in about 10 minutes or a dozen shrimp in 5 minutes, without using a pan that needs washing. Now that the weather is warmer, rather than heat up my kitchen I also use the gas grill as an oven for reheating things like leftover pizza slices (really gets a good flavor).1 point

Somehow, THE POINT got lost in the cornflakes of this discussion. THE POINT was that when there is evidence that a personal choice may include verifiable health risks, nothing is as simple as some would have us believe. Of course, Ferret is very right in pointing out that at this time in most of our lives, our choices won't make much difference. And, like her, I'm not about to fire up a barbeque to cook one or two portions of food.1 point

It's not even a discussion point: electric grilled steak can't come close to the taste of a char-broiled or fire-grilled steak. This is due to the flames causing the Maillard reaction (chemical reactions that occur when proteins and sugars in and on your food are transformed by heat, producing new flavors, aromas, and colors) which gives you that crunchy outside. To do that on an electric grill overcooks the meat.1 point

Sorry about the apparent non clarity. For me, I agree that slow smoked meat tastes great; However, like cigarettes, deep fried food, alcohol, or soda; the companies selling those products don't really care about our health. That is on us, as individuals. No offense meant, just my $0.021 point

Although I totally agree with Mudgirl, sometimes the fans here are very high and require, ahem, expertise with a very long ladder. Raphael Granados used to work for Quick Blinds et al and installed all their new fans and will do maintenance. 333-486-4706 is the last number I have for him. He speaks English but is also sometimes unreliable with timing. Your call. edited to add: Forgot to say that ANY ceiling fan can be made into a remote controlled one and Raphael can do that too. Nice to not have to get out of bed in the middle of the night.1 point

The complaining isn't really about Harry-it is about the lack of any information west of Ajijic. We had gotten to rely on Harry but we should not have.1 point

Because Mexico gets so much of its propane from the U.S. and there was a recent supply disruption due to weather there there has been a bump in prices. Will that go back down in a few months? Maybe at least some. Of course if Mexico ended the Pemex monopoly on petro energy they might not have to import over half their propane...1 point

It is clearly written. Here maybe this one is better for you. The WHO reports that the U.S.A. has highest amount of ladder deaths and injuries in the world. And this is increasing. Most of the falls are less than ten feet. https://www.nachi.org/ladder-safety.htm0 points

How do you get around the requirement that three limbs must be in contact at all times. Then there are the fall arrest clips, etc. One hand can only do very little work.0 points

Are you ever out of touch. Two men working off a 15-20 metre step ladder, at the same time, installing a fragile light. In Canada, by law, I would have to setup a temporary scaffold, and a complete fall arrest system. It is illegal to work off a ladder in Canada., they are only permitted for access, they must be tied off. Also illegal to lift plastic buckets on ropes with materials, tools etc.0 points

Good grief! Now comparing more or less harmless natural way of fire/charcoal cooking of meat to cigarette smoking? How about industrial smogs, vehicle exhausts and here field burning and I can't be bothered adding more to the list for you great thinkers of a simple COOKING METHOD being bad for you. Get real!!!0 points

My experience. No. They would rather install all new. There is one design for tropical areas, with replaceable blades, and strong waterproofing. But that is a commercial model, sold in that market. Some of ceiling fan installatiions we have seen here an Puerto Vallarta are ridiculous. Like buy one in Costco, get your broinlaw to install it for a case of beer.0 points
