The poor writing skills, and atrocious grammar, may be an indication of the reasons for such a high level of confusion. Some just never learn much if they cannot understand what they read.

Thank you, RV. I am considerably younger than the average person posting on this board, and I am always amazed at the poor quality of the writing here. For a generation brought up before the "decline" of the educational system, there sure are a lot of very sloppy communicators posting on this site. I suppose I shouldn't have let my expectations get too high. Let the "downvotes" commence. 😜

We had an excellent experience in late May there with a total knee replacement, including the docs, nurses, meals, and business office and COVID precautions.

I grew up in and lived most of my life in a seasonal tourist area. I have seen changes good and bad before. The question is how to influence the reaction to them!

I don't think it's fair to unequivocally blame medical personnel when things go wrong, and especially not in a public setting. Doctors and medical technicians aren't miracle workers or magicians. Sometimes things go wrong because of the patient's condition, in your case perhaps faulty plumbing. It's entirely possible you would have had the same outcome no matter where your test was done.

I had another bad, and dangerous, experience at San Antonio Hospital. This is the third time. I went for a cystography, they basically inject flouroscopic dye into.your bladder through your uretha, and take xrays at various angle. Well there was one radiologist, another new one. To shorten the ordeal, he inserted the catheter, but this time, it hurt a lot. He somehow broke a blood vessel or the wall of the uretha. He got his images but when he removed the catheter, there was a slow fountain of blood everywhere. I almost fell off the table as I was getting off because it was so slippery with blood.He told me to walk to the.washroom. Againwith.bare feet walking on slippery blood. Luckily, I am of Canadian origin, and we have a born gene to walk on ice 😁. Unfortunaly, and not my intention I.made a real mess in the washroom. Dexter the blood spatter expert and serial killer would have been proud. I figure.I lost about .5 liters of blood before the.bleeding.slowed down. I am not on any.blood thinners. Mx Chillin, with many years experience in health care remarked that they should not have released me, that I should have been held in observation, possibly overnight. Seeing all the construction short cuts they made.in this building, I know these cheap old buzzards, would expect me to pay full retail.

Can you cite an example where a citizen group got together and raised money for basic repairs and maintenance of another Malecon here? I've seen no reports here or anywhere else of any other than what people in Ajijic did. I can easily count 20 major pot holes in a 2 block radius of my house. Be glad to take you on a walk to see same.

If I were to write of what hubby went through in 19 months of attempting to receive help from SAH (and which took exactly 5 minutes for a doc up north to diagnose and a half a day of tests to confirm), you would think I was making it up, exaggerating, or had some sort of agenda. It's none of these. For obvious reasons, I'll simply say that we choose to obtain medical care elsewhere.

And we already know that statistically speaking those who get it the worst have a high level of contributing causes such as age, diabetes, obesity, asthma, etc. Some similar long term effects have been previously reported for the flu. I think most of us who have lived here a while will live to regret this Pueblo Magico designation. Our streets are already overcrowded with traffic and people, without any real infrastructure improvements possible to make the situation any better, (unless you just ride a bicycle). Then you have organizations like AMAR (Asociacion Mexicana de Asistencia de Retiro) who are already advertising this designation and telling Expats to retire here. We need a Pueblo Magico designation for Ajijic like a whole in our heads! We will regret it! More illogical decisions made without thinking of the consequences of quality of life for those of us here !! This is very sad !

Putting it another way, that's about a 0.04% death rate after nearly a year and most of the cases reported had complicating conditions of obesity, diabetes and heart disease. Go out and enjoy your Christmas dinner.

Same could be said for USA, and many other countries.

You only live once (born again Christian may contradict me), so I have never changed my life style for this virus other then to wear a face mask, social distance and wash my hands. ☺️ (and I have no preexisting conditions that I know of)

I have a retired contractor buddy in Albuquerque who did quite well building homes there and never got caught in a down cycle. He said his secret was simple, when everyone started doing it he stopped and started doing industrial or infrastructure work. He got to watch time and time again as the overbuilders lost their shirts.

Wow, when was the last time you walked around lower Ajijic??? Those of you who drive along the streets won't see or hear the construction projects going on behind a gate that only opens to allow in cement trucks, backhoes and tree cutters (and the tree cutters are usually there on Sundays, perhaps because they have no permits).

Simapa has pump truck, stop in & they will take a deposit & make a reservation. Quite reasonable.

I am sorry you keep having bad experiences. Many of us have been very pleased with our experiences and are grateful that a facility such as this is available locally.
