  1. Why would Canadians return to Lakeside? Simple. The worst day here is better than the best day there.

  3. Which is exactly why no one I know would fly anywhere unless they absolutely had to. And social distancing on an airplane is a oxymoron anyway. And don't you have anything better to do than stalk me around the forum? My post wasn't addressed to you.

  5. I didn't see the Posts that got deleted. That's OK. But IMO Moderator threats to suspend a person should be a private thing with the offender and not necessarily be broadcast in a shaming way for all Users to see. To me that seems very controlling. Just my opinion.

  6. Because (a) it is off topic and (b) your poor examples always seem to be from one side only. Edited again, post it again and you get suspended. If you have a further problem with this, PM me or another moderator. This refers to the last two posts by VG I deleted. Topic is CANADIANS and travel. Got it?

  7. Passengers can remove masks when eating or drinking. And yes, even on flights with no food service, you can bring your own food. (edited to removed gratuitous political comment)

  8. I have been using TelCel's wireless modem or router...what ever it is, for about 7 months. It is better than no internet and most of the time I can stream netflix or hulu or Amazonprime video but occasionally in the evenings it is too slow to stream. I use it with a NordVPN that comes with my Norton antivirus package. I got mine from Sandra at the small TelCel office just west of El Torrito and occasionally I have to call her to do some sort of reset and then I am good to go again. She is very nice about it.....I only call her during business hours if it is not working but she says I can call

  10. Is there any organization here at Lakeside which solicits donations of old eyeglasses? Have quite a few and hate to just toss them if they might do some good for someone else.

  16. I'm wondering how long it will be before Volaris has an extra charge for using the head while in flight. IMO they've become a poster child for everything that is wrong about flying these days. And they have a lot of competition for that distinction.

  18. United Airlines says the risk of COVID-19 exposure onboard its aircraft is "virtually non-existent" after a new study finds that when masks are worn there is only a 0.003% chance particles from a passenger can enter the passenger's breathing space who is sitting beside them (that is 3 of every 100,000 passengers) if all passengers are wearing masks A new study conducted for the Department of Defense adds credence to the growing belief that airline passengers face minimal risk of contracting coronavirus when flying. 19. In case you haven't heard, international travel isn't really a smart thing to undertake during a deadly highly contagious pandemic. There isn't anywhere safe to go because anywhere warm you'd have to fly to or drive through the US. You couldn't pay any of my Canadian friends or family to get on a plane to anywhere at the present time, unless it was an unavoidable trip.

  23. The "new" one? We've had the older one (Zostavax), but looking for the newer one (Shingrix). fyi, Shingrix was approved in very late 2017 and we tried to get it whenever we traveled to the US in 2018 and 2019 and it was never available when (and where) we were there.

  26. This plastic membrane that is rigid set along the outside cement or brick wall that is below ground level before backfilling eliminates moisture by allowing it to evaporate and by keepng moisture from the underground wall. The top part of the roll needs to be about 3 inches above ground level so it can breath. We installed it after construction and eliminated our problem (so far).
