  3. Hybrid systems using central inverters from Outback, Darfon, and now Solis have been doing that already (no transfer switch) or will be later this month (Solis is the newest to announce) and yes, the technology will start to show up in micro-inverters as well. Li-ion batteries are the way to go now with these, thanks to zero maintenance, no off-gassing, high tolerance of charge and discharge levels, and a long lifespan with stable output that actually works out more cost effectively in the long run.

  4. Did you ever stop to think that the reason why we have a lower infection rate is because places like Telmex are closed?

  8. If you haven't registered, do so SOON. Even if you have, check with your local registrar to make sure you have not been purged. The site shown on the banner suggests re-registering annually as in some states they can drop you every year. Hoping partisan posters can refrain; this is important for everyone.

  9. I do not understand. If your source is “very reliable” why double check here only to tell people who say it is not true that your source is very reliable?

  10. I have seen TelMex trucks out and about, workers on poles, etc. all the while the office has been closed.

  11. It has to be the very worst "reliable source" that ever identified themselves as a "reliable source".

  12. Statements about possible contact transmission are true, All the Telmex services are available online and/or by phone. Telmex doesn't have offices in most small towns like Tuxcueca, San Luis Soyatlan, Mazamitla, Jocotepec, etc., but the people have phones.

  17. Yes. It's a bizarre and vile concept to cut pieces off of humans or animals because of some "tradition", the reasons for which may have been thought warranted at some time in history but have no validity today.

  19. Be patient. Your canine companion will be there, but it may take a little time. Watch the local Facebook pages, leave this information with the shelters listed above and check back occasionally to let them know you are still looking. When you find your dog, let them know so they can take you off their list. Bien suerte.

  20. Ear and tail cropping has been banned in the UK, Australia and most European countries. There were various reasons for cropping when the dogs were working breeds, such as long ears getting caught and damaged, but most of these reasons are long gone. For example, Pembrook Welsh Corgi tails were supposedly cropped because in the Middle Ages the English put a tax on livestock and counted tails. Poor Welsh farmers cropped the tails of their little farm dogs to save money. The truth of this are lost in the mists of time, but the tail cropping has become an unfortunate tradition.

  21. We're seeing more requests for both hybrid and offgrid type systems from folks who have CFE connections, and have installed quite a few with good results. Still ain't cheap....but the tech is there already.....and pricing should follow....it almost always does! 😉

  22. We used fvap.org (Federal Voting Assistance Program) to register for Absentee Ballots (Overseas Citizen Voter). It was simple. We received emails to be able to vote in the primary in the U.S. State where we registered already. We signed up to receive ballots for the Presidential election by email also. Non-partisan site which will direct you to the U.S. State website where you were last registered to vote. You can also register to vote if you need to.

  23. Well you may think that way if you like but if opening bars and party spots are less likely to spread COVID than opening Telmex doesn't take much common sense to know that's not so. The reason for them still being closed is they are deemed non essential but bars and Parties are so, people who have no phones cannot get in touch with emergency services.
