  1. I heard from two sources today that as of July 1st men must be clean shaven, no beards or mustaches. All because of covid-19 and face masks. I haven't been without a beard for at least 30 years, not happy. As prevalent as mustaches are here in Mexico I don't know how this will go over.

  5. Coronavirus Breakthrough !!! . It has been scientifically proven that horse manure protects you from coronavirus. Take the fresh horse manure and rub your hands. It has the following actions: 1. It prevents you from bringing your hand to your nose, eyes, mouth. 2. People will keep at least 2 meters away from you 3. No one will want to shake your hand 4. You will safely wash your hands well before going to lunch.

  9. One thing I can tell you that you can "take to the bank", Eric, is that maybe the thing that really "pisses off" Mexicans is when a "gringo" tells them how they should be running their businesses. My opinion only.

  15. come on, people, dont get your nickers in a twist about something like this. There is a lot that you have to take seriously. This is not part of it,...it falls in the "absurd" category. A couple of months ago, a lot of you, could ONLY make jokes about this virus. Now, it is practically forbidden to look at something more lightheartedly. People and their extremes.....

  18. correct the virus attacks other organs than the lungs.. my brother was doing better on the respirator when he died...When people get put on respirators they are just about gone as they cannot breath any longer or are about to get there. Also surviving the respirator may not be the best thing to wish on people, the respirators do a lot of damage to the body as well.. Better pray for no one to need a respirator.. Oxigen ok but respirator, no thanks- It is a last ditch effort to save a life , no matter what.

  19. There is a difference between car licensing (refrendo) and driver licensing. They have nothing to do with each other. Two different locations entirely, except the payment for both is/can be, at the same recaudadora

  21. My system worked before the meter was installed. I didn't build credit for the night but consumed zero during the day. As to the pole..... Never herd of that. You don't change the cables from the street to the meter. Have your solar company help you with CFE something is not right.

I so appreciate being part of this beautiful place we call home but mostly thankful and greatful to our Mexican hosts who off us every kind of service you could think of. Viva Mexico, Viva Lakeside.❣️❣️

  27. I dont know where the municipalities are getting their data I am assuming from the federal website but this is a good source I have found in Spanish. This is a general Covid19 thread on reddit Mexico that has been updated since the start. https://www.reddit.com/r/mexico/comments/gng20b/megathread_coronavirus_8/ This is list with numbers based in states and municipalities. https://gist.github.com/agentphantom/20bfd5fe1f959bcbe6c690b5ef1fd6f0

  31. Almost like a ghost town store. Maybe 25 customers. All customers I saw had masks. Most looked like gringos. One employee had no mask and two had their masks hanging at their chins. When I went to take pictures, one turned her back and hurried away and the other two quickly pulled their masks up. Next time I go there, I'm going to give the manager a note saying he should say that any employee found w/o a mask will be fired, and any customer without a mask will be escorted out of the store. My opinion only.
