  1. Dr. Briseño will NOT substitute another cardiologist. He has a Dra. Cardiologist that works and assiists him but never substitutes his service.

  2. The noise is worse on weekdays when there are a lot of big rigs and trucks passing by. Weekends much better but no matter when, worth it for the food and service, especially the daily specials and the pizzas

  3. My wife and I ate there the other night (taco special Wednesday - 3 for $95 pesos). I didn't want to be totally unfair, hence my opening post, but each of the two responses to the post support my own conclusion - which was totally supported by my wife who simply said: "Please let's not waste another evening out.....this restaurant isn't a restaurant and was totally ridiculous!" Overpriced tacos. Cold tortillas and only warm innards with totally insufficient sauces and the expected "dressings" that one expects in Mexico. Worst tacos we've experienced in our many years in Ajijic. Almost no customers and the slowest service in town. (Almost 1/2 hour waiting for our tacos). No management present. Wine: $60 pesos for a 4 or 5 ounce glass of Italian Merlot that's almost always available at Costco for $60 pesos a bottle. $30 pesos for what was to have been lemonada but it simply consisted of mineral water and ice cubes in a totally unsuitable 8 ounce highball glass with a thin slice of lime. Conclusion: Must be seeking the Guadalajara crowd on the weekends.....hence the totally Spanish website. Would never return under any circumstance. Almost any of the taco stands that operate in Ajijic in the evenings offer far better tacos at half the price! (Tacos on a scale of 1 to 10.........maybe a 2!) If this restaurant survives it will require a miracle! Note: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the younger of the two floor service staff present definitely tried hard.....but the kitchen and the lack of assistance from the older of the two (who might have been the manager) worked against his efforts! (At one point, when I went to the washroom, I noticed that a woman who, from her dress, appeared to be from the kitchen was on her cell phone in the parking lot behind the restaurant.) With the obvious lack of staff she might have been the only kitchen employee........ hence the ridiculous delay in delivery of our food.

  4. I read where 16% of Americans believe that Coronavirus is related to Corona beer. That's scarier than the virus itself. These people are allowed to vote?? Corona beer virus

  7. I too visit Dr. Garcia Garcia, in fact earlier this year, a morning visit resulted in his sending me to a Guad Hospital where his son (also a cardiologist) with more sophisticated test gear than what we have here lakeside, confirmed that I needed a stent, asked me if I wanted it immediately, and I said, yes, why not. And later that same afternoon I got my first stent. The results were great.

  9. We've eaten there a few times and enjoyed it. No complaints. But because of the location, it falls off our radar; out of sight, out of mind.

  11. The masks will help an infected person no to transmit to others. They will have little or no effect as a protection against receiving the virus. Viruses enter through the eyes, nose, and mouth.

  12. Hola again! I feel sorry to have learnt the news saying Mexico has two patients with new corona virus. Generally survival rate of virus is higher with lower temp and lower humidity. That's why we see much flu in winter time. per G.J. Harper https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2134455/ However new research shows different results. as per Karen Kormuth et al https://pmc.carenet.com/?pmid=29878137 Anyway we'd use commonsense caution around. It is getting pandemic worldwidely. It is not wise or distant to compare with other virus such as flu spreaded in the States. I am happy to tell you that I am still a ok except my stocks on the market.

  18. Rib eye must be fatty for flavour when grilled. No rib eye that I've ever seen has been 50% fatty . Exaggeration on your part I suspect because around here the usual fault is not enough fat. IN the raw meat foto is what you need and when it's done there ain't much fat noticeable.

  19. February 22, 2020: Place is under new management since last time. Everything was lovely. Service prompt, portions large, tasted great, huge bowl of soup, and of course the atmosphere is much more pleasant when everything is going nicely. Prices reasonable for these times. I will go again; fingers crossed.

  21. Two things about me. 1) I am a dog lover, 2) Right now, I have a lot of time on my hands, and 3) I am an avid researcher on just about anything that crosses my mind and interests and may concern me.. After we paid over $1,500 for a 7kg bag of alleged "SENIOR" dog food at a vet's office, in a fancy, shiny bag, I did some research. I just googled "Are fancy packaged dog foods better?" I suggest you do the same: https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ACYBGNQhcxhhm1ANyNzQlfhhX-EJdNfBeQ%3A1582987631548&ei=b3laXsf8IMi4tQWbu63wDg&q=best+dog+foods+on+the+market&oq=are+fancy+bagged+dog+foods+any+better+than+simple%2C+plain+bags&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.0i71l4.0.0..666125...0.2..0.0.0.......0......gws-wiz.hMA9mbAmLsI Look under the section, "PEOPLE ALSO ASK." You will find things such as this: "Hill's Pet Nutrition is facing the wrath of dog owners who say their pets became ill or died after eating canned food recalled nationwide for elevated levels of vitamin D that can poison a pooch.February 8, 2019. There are several good takeaways from what you will find. You can also Google: "Dog food recalls" and see who and why. Bottom line IMO: For all the fancy packaging and high prices, for the companies, its almost always about the bottom line. Just because something is in writing, don't think it's always true. I hope this helps some people and dogs.

  23. If you buy SILK Almendra Vaninilla, it might interest you to know the first three ingredents are: Almond, water and almond base cane sugar. It also says, 50% more calcium than cow's milk. Is water and added sugar better than cow's milk and maybe eating almonds or other foods that contain calcium. Hmmmmm
