  1. What's sad is that anyone would feel it's okay to publicly humiliate another person by posting a high school grammar lesson. If the teaching compulsion was too strong to resist, a PM would have more than sufficed.

  2. Uh, TelsZ4, "Newbie" generally only means new to THIS forum.... and, if you've ever had a problem logging in and had to change your handle, you get to be a "newbie" all over again.

  4. It surprises me that the local Mexican business people are not getting upset by the number of expats who are running businesses here.. if there is no local Mexican people offering that service then that’s fair enough, but so many expats are offering rides to the airport and just about everywhere else.. food to be picked up a local bazaar.. moving you from place to place, just to name a few...,

  5. This is just a public Thank you and lots of gratitude to the Riberas Pet Store and people like Sue who work tirelessly and have such a big heart for little innocent animals. I found a little street dog whose leg was broken. Doctor Hector will fix her and they will find a home for her. I would have taken her but already have 3 but my heart ached when i saw her. I just want to say that people like Sue make this world a much better place.....and our little town of Riberas is so blessed to have you in it !!!!! Thank you Sue.

  7. excuse me...but the only mention of the states is that like there, debts are turned over to collection agencies. My experience was here, right here in little old Mexico. And...newbie? After 16 years? And fluent Spanish. And 36 years in Hispanic countries. Hmmm. P.S. I also said: “ Go immediately ... like tomorrow....to a good lawyer like Azucena Bateman at ABC Legal or Spencer as someone mentioned above. You do NOT want to deal with this alone. Trustme.”

  12. Not all Temporals are good for only 1 year.... only the first one is mandatory for that length. After that one may renew for up to 3 more years... meaning one CAN get their second Temporal for 3 years. The duration of a TIP follows the duration of the Temporal and for longer Temporal lengths the TIP is good for as long as the Temporal is valid. But under no circumstances must you return to the border to renew the TIP.

  14. If you are unable to wait for a 2 to 4 week appt time at the Guadalajara consulate you can take a small vacation and drive to San Miguel Allende, GTO. The US Consulate there will notarize your documents on a walk-in-basis I think Mon thru Fri 12-1:30PM. A mini vacation with great sight seeing and great restaurants. Or there is always PV but I do not know if they accept walk-ins. Like the Mexicans say, "There is always a way....."

  17. I had windows that seemed to be permanently stained by water from sprinklers. I had to call on Saul the window washer at 333 454 4625. He got rid of the stains with his special solution and a lot of scrubbing.

  18. Who would want to . Hours and hours of politicians from both partys repeating over and over and over and over again facts, non facts, opinions, hearsay, and for sure BS. And the outcome is as sure as was the outcome of the impeachment process. Better Beverly Hillbillies re-runs

  19. I have a dual Sim using T-Mobile. You can also buy a Skype "In" number (you get to pick the area code and number). I use Whatsapp, but have found a reluctance for the use of that app among many folks in the US (for no reason, they just are apprehensive of adding to their phone). Though younger US residents who travel outside the US do use Whatsapp.

  22. If it is a cell #, you can link it to WhatsApp and that way, people with the app can call you to talk live, VM you, text you, and send photo and video to you, on it, all free, and secure end-to-end, globally. Uses either WiFi internet connection or a data plan, not cell time (as it is internet based) Works great; you can also set up groups on it for those family or business chats. https://www.whatsapp.com/

  23. Isn't the DAC rate based upon the previous 12 months? And if you exceed a certain amount (maybe 2500 KWH) during that previous 12 months you go into DAC until your previous 12 month total is less than that certain amount. I can't remember now that I have had photovoltaic solar panels since 2008

  26. What is needed at this juncture is not filled by a post on the 'net, but rather the advice and assistance of a good lawyer. I'd suggest Spencer McMullen, who posts on here and has his office in Chapala. Best of luck.

  28. UNDERSTANDING HOW TO USE YOUR AND YOU'RE: Your is the second person possessive adjective, used to describe something as belonging to you. Your is always followed by a noun or gerund. You’re is the contraction of "you are" and is often followed by the present participle (verb form ending in -ing). There is one rule that will help you make the right choice: If you can replace the word with "you are," you should select "you’re". Otherwise, you should only choose "your".

  35. The other method is to supervise his work and constantly give him orders. Need a deep hole here to plant a tree. Deeper..deeper. Changed my mind fill it in etc. I don't need you to water. I need you for the hard work. Make him hate the job so much he quits. Then have him sign a resignation letter.
