  2. IMO, of all that was said, this is most likely the 'take home' words. The rest is, again IMO, just mental masterbation.

  4. Exchange? Likely yes. Refund? Not likely, but if they agree it will not be a cash refund. They will put it on a gift card.

  5. Not in my recent experience coming into Gdl a week ago Monday...Each pet was still physically inspected after they asked for proof of rabies, de-worming, antiparasitic etc, they just do not require the previous AHPHS 7001 or vet-derived health "certificate"....you still have to have proof of those requirements. I called and spoke to Sagarpa myself before I headed out and this is what they told me and, shore 'nuff, the process at the airport in Guadalajara for me was unchanged other than not needing the certificate.

  6. https://www.mrclean.com/en-us/how-to/bathroom/easy-tips-to-beat-hard-water A chemical free, glove free option using water only (ironically enough), and can also work on polishing car headlights and other fun jobs. Test first on a small area.

  8. Pears soap is available in SuperLake. My mum used this extensively for cleaning, especially faucets. I made a wet paste and left it on the windows where the sprinkler hit and left hard water. About a half hour later, I scrubbed it around and off then rinsed the window. Took a second application but then they were fine... and then I went and played with the sprinkler heads to make sure it didn't happen again. I have also used coconut oil and a scrubbie to take chrome taps back to their original finish. They were white with hard water deposits... Takes some effort and patience over a few da

If you are able and willing to help, please do so.. otherwise please keep your personal opinions about the situation to yourself.. I do not know about the person's personal circumstances, nor do you , as they are personal to this person. I write this note as this happens may times when a person asks for assistance, and mainly gets criticized, etc. rather than helpful ideas or suggestions.. I know most people are thoughful and kind hearted about another person's personal private

  10. My experience was the same as Guiness' experience. Maybe Dr. Pinto has good days and bad days. Not really what I want in an eye Doctor.

  13. Can't talk about water and electricity but have been there several times recently. The indigenous people are still commandeering the lot. It is quite a problem as people seem to be leaving cars when going long term. The result is bedlam with most spots taken and cars illegally parked causing more tumult. If I were going on a trip. I would take a taxi.

Chemicals for pools are not cheap.. What do they have now,a heater , how much gaz do they use.. Get a solar company to come and tell you if solar is possible on that property, for exemple solar was possible for the house but way too much for the pool and the pool was far away and there was no room to put the solar inless I wanted to look at panels and but a bunch of trees.. People on this board can tell you what

  17. Long story short, I have my Canadian grandmother here in Ajijic (she's been here for 45 yrs) and my dad is a Mexican from GDL. His family is quite large (he's 1 of 9), so I have a huge family here that I wasn't raised around. I returned this summer on vacation, fell in love with it and decided to stay to reconnect with my roots/culture. Don't get me wrong, I love the Ajijic/Chapala area and I'm grateful to be here, it's an entirely different world from my hometown of Sedona, AZ. But, I've been here about 7 months and it has been very difficult to meet people in Ajijic around my age and there a

  18. There are so many great options, lakeside. I chose Actinver. Why? One reason is because it allows me to also have a stock brokerage account where I keep a portion of my retirement account. Another is it's location. which is great for me. And their exchange rate? it's OK if you just have a bank account but its much closer to the spot rate should you have a brokerage account. Having a brokerage account with Actinver also allows me to wire US dollars down to Actinver and they keep the money in dollars accounts until we decide the peso exchange rate is favorable.
