  1. Since incorrect assumptions could adversely affect both you and your employer, maybe best not to rely on advise from some old geezers on a Web Board.

  2. Does anyone think that anyone will change minds with these back and forth arguments on this forum about this subject. A total waste of time from any oerspective.

  3. IMO, "Mexicans" do business just like they've done it for hundreds of years probably... as their culture dictates, not the NOB culture. Yes of course there are some exceptions. Frustrating for some but not something that our ranting about will change. YMMV

  4. Please don't ruin our hiking trails. Before I moved here, I lived in the Colorado High Country and I've seen first hand the damage ATVs can do to back roads and trails.

  6. Mike, I don't quibble with your comments on Telmex service. But I will say that they have started to bring fibre into our gated community and the cost per house was less than half of what people paid when they signed up for Ilox. I certainly wouldn't describe 4500 pesos as "a huge amont upfront". Admittedly, the Ilox sign up included service for some period of time, but still....

  7. It was all an accident, I was leaving the house and I saw the man hooking up my new neighbor. So I asked him if he would hook me up. He said no because I needed a contract. I told him I signed a contract 6 months ago. He said he needed a work order so I rushed to the iLox office and the girl called him and told him to hook me up. She also gave me a work order to give him. So he hooked me up! I was skeptical, figuring I would have problems especially when I hooked up my VPN Buffalo router to the iLox router. But it all went smoothly and everything worked great. No problemo! Speed is usually between 35 & 39 mbps down, even with the Buffalo. Between 9 & 10 mbps up. I can even keep my old telephone number but it will take 5 days to change it over he said. I waited 7 days and he didn't show up. So, I went to the office and the man was very unhelpful. He said the man didn't work there anymore and he couldn't get anyone else to do it. He told me to go home and call to get the nip number. He said he couldn't do it at the office. So I went home, called the number he gave me and got the nip number. I'm going back the the iLox office Monday and hopefully they will change my number. We'll see. Mexicans just don't know how to do business. Go ahead, now torch me,

  10. Not true at all. The free ones were not affected by the incidents, they use a completely different system ! They arent websites! The ones i install have been around for at least 4 years plus i have my own proprietary app. No need for vpn and theres no antivirus required. Please get your facts straight if you are trying to to diss my service.

  11. If he is offering a connection to copyrighted channels without charge, that website will soon go down as the raids of illegal servers in Europe continue. There is no legal free lunch or ... "one time fee" free daily lunch. BUT >>>>YOU WIN.... Buy it and at least when the illegal server is shut down you will still have a Firestick. P.S. If you use your computer try to access any of those "We offer worldwide all channels ABC,CBS etc" websites with a good anti-virus protection you will get a warning that proceeding is dangerous. Any guesses why??

  12. We have Telmex fiber optic. We pay for 200 Mbps, just tested received 292.7 download, 51.6 upload. On my laptop which is old and not built to receive over 100 Mbps, test just showed 94.84 download, 83.99 upload.

  15. A woman who disrupted a town hall set up by New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday night turns out to be a part of a far-right conservative group known for these kinds of tactics. Rep. Ocasio-Cortez held a town hall meeting in Corona, New York. During the town hall a young woman stood up and began speaking anxiously about climate change, becoming more and more agitated, as she nihilistically rambled about how “we got to start eating babies.”

  20. No, I think that the horror at the border should be reacted to by Mexico. Perhaps if mexico started treating americans the same way, Trump and congress would do something humane. BTW Immigration judges are doing hearings in under a minute.

  21. I agree. Most of us can figure out to make phone calls. There is always a reason for asking someone who has actually used the services. I get frustrated with those types of replies also.

  22. Please...I did not ask YOU. I was trying to get an idea of the actual (hopefully negotiated) prices that actual patients have paid. Why do you think that I would "phone their office" to ask a secretary who will give me a rote answer from some price list there. Frankly I am tired of seeing replies to perfectly asked questions posted here such as "Sn. Google knows", "Check Facebook" "Phone their office" and other innocuous remarks not related to the specific questions asked. Just my OPINION.

  23. You don't owe taxes to Mexico. You aren't working for anyone in Mexico, you are working for a US company online. You have to file your US taxes and state taxes just as you did when you lived up north.

  24. The problem with your post, GaryM, is you have failed to use a sufficient number of exclamation points. Without the requisite overwrought sense of urgency, your plea for succor will likely fall on deaf ears. Not that it wouldn't anyway.
