  1. Another good option would be to take a picture and description to Tepehua Treasures consignment shop (Hidalgo #98 in Riberas, also on the bus line) so the sewing class ladies could make them to sell in the shop. I had them NOB for drafts, but would buy one for critters if they were available.

  2. First, let's be honest, AT&T's coverage around Lakeside is spotty. There are neighborhoods where it works fine - from what you say - and others such as SAT and Riberas, where it sometimes works or rarely works. From living NOB, I wouldn't take it if they paid me, but that's another story. I've used Telcel for 10+ years with no problems. YRMV

  3. Thank you David for love and passion for the kids at Have Hammer Will Travel A.C. carpentry school. David Herrera Lara of 5E Massages donated 5 massages at the 3rd anniversary Bingolago last Tuesday May 14 2019. David and his wife have their massage clinic facing the lake next Maria Isabel restaurant in Ajijic near the malecon. Thank you from the HHWT board of directors and Bingolago volunteers. Your generous donation helped make our 3rd anniversary Bingolago be a success. His cell phone is 331-604-0971 i can not thank him enough for helping the kids at our school. The least I can is tell others about his services. I am already getting good feed back from the Bingolago players about how professional he and his wife are and how they enjoyed the massage.

  4. Sunday, I was able to rescue 6 kittens, out of a 10 feet deep hole. Mama cat (a stray cat....not mine) had been poisoned. I took her to the vet, but she died anyway, leaving those kitties for almost 4 days without food. After bottlefeeding them (+ flea baths), they are healthy and eating solid food now ( about 6 weeks old). I have them at the vet until Saturday (paid for). After all this, I need help. ......looking for good people to adopt 2 or 3 of them. I would hate to take them to a shelter, not knowing where they would end up afterwards. They have been through enough. And they are ready to get out of a cage A friend will pay for neutering all of them, when they are ready and another friend is donating some cat food. Email me with good news plse: elbelgicano@yahoo.com Rony

  5. I am enjoying a chop from a recipe that I just found. I changed the mustard paste to my taste. I didn't have thick cut pork chops so I stacked up several thin cuts with the paste on each chop. Very tasty and simple. Some people would say the BEST breaded pork chop that they ever tasted. LOL

  9. Yes, try a factory reset, by sticking a pin in the little hole on the back for 30 seconds or so, until all the lights start acting differently. Then wait about 5 minutes for the Internet to come back, and try again. If it doesn't work, either your modem is malfunctioning, or TelMex should be called to check. 01-800-123-2222, Mexico City, ask for "English, please".

  11. Henry they can drill lines in the existing tile and put in additional group lines . Gustavo did this for us at the Riberas Pet store on the areas where the tile was covering a sloop It is a much more permanent and attractive solution to the problem at a surprising low cost. Drop into the store and you can take a look at this solution.

  12. .....totally sedated. I hope this does not mean that you were put way under like was done years ago. Not needed and hard on old bodies. ALL colonoscopies done in the US are just mild sedation.... the kind that one wakes up from quickly and remembers all but the actual experience.

  16. Just checked with the Education Director, Alfredo. This class will continue to be offered monthly as it is extremely popular. After 20+ years here I learned a lot - and the class topics are being expanded at the request of folks who have questions about topics not originally covered.

  18. I don't consider someone "the best" if they are challenged in the communication department. I don't expect a professional who is is stellar at their job to come cheap. But I do expect them to show up on time and let me know if they can't.

  19. There are many businesses where I live that are now using cardboard and other biodegradable containers for take-out foods. These containers are available and being manufactured in Mexico. Restaurants could also purchase a bunch of reusable tupperware-type containers to have for sale, making a small profit on them, if they chose. You can fold newspapers into a bag shape which will hold household garbage. That wouldn't work for wet kitchen waste, and while I realize some people live in situations where they have no yard, those who do should definitely have a compost pile- as RV Gringo says, both kitchen waste and toilet paper can go in that pile. A proper compost bin or pile won't attract pests and there are composters available to buy at Costco if you don't want the waste just out there. And the added bonus is that you end up with nice compost after it breaks down to use in potted plants and in your garden, negating the need to go buy bags of compost or potting soil.

  20. Those rubbery shelf liners are also great for stabilizing a mixing bowl or cutting board; no more sliding around on the counter. I also use leftover liner under flower vases and as coasters.
