  11. Thank you David for love and passion for the kids at Have Hammer Will Travel A.C. carpentry school. David Herrera Lara of 5E Massages donated 5 massages at the 3rd anniversary Bingolago last Tuesday May 14 2019. David and his wife have their massage clinic facing the lake next Maria Isabel restaurant in Ajijic near the malecon. Thank you from the HHWT board of directors and Bingolago volunteers. Your generous donation helped make our 3rd anniversary Bingolago be a success. His cell phone is 331-604-0971 i can not thank him enough for helping the kids at our school. The least I can is tell others about his services. I am already getting good feed back from the Bingolago players about how professional he and his wife are and how they enjoyed the massage.

  12. I went to Plaza del Torres and I went to the gentleman who was 1st in line and I told him that I was facing a knee surgery and he let me go 1st. It took us about 2 hours and we were out of there. God bless the Mexican people.

  13. I had one performed yesterday at the new Hospital San Antonio here in Ajijic by gastroenterologist Dr. Daniel Briseno. The total charge was $14,580. I had a polyp removed which was sent to the laboratory in Guadalajara for biopsy which added an extra $1,680.00MX to the price. so without the biopsy the charge would have been $12,900MX. I paid the doctor in cash, $6,000, and the hospital bill was $8,580.00. The crap you have to drink the day before the procedure, 4 packets/2 liters total, cost $500MX. It was done under partial anesthesia so not much discomfort. Believe me, the prep was far worse than the actual procedure. Nice new facility here and very courteous staff. Overall a good experience.

  14. Rafael Aguilar...3312165892. Rafael has a car rental business, drives people and their belongings to the border himself and has other excellent drivers working with him who do trips also. A week or so ago I found it necessary to get myself and my car to the border at Nogales and due to some serious back problems I was hesitant to take the trip alone this time doing all the driving myself. Rafael set me up with one of his drivers, Felipe, who drove all the way (two long days) and was very helpful in getting us back on the road when my car broke down between Guaymas and Hermosillo. I can't recommend Rafael and his crew highly enough. Felipe doing the driving took most of the pain out of the trip for me and I spent the time listening to audio books. Had he not been able to talk a passing driver, the only one who stopped anywhere near us in over two hours, out of a couple of gallons of water the breakdown we experienced could have been much worse than a few hours of delay. I also strongly suggest that anyone making this trip across the desert carry a few gallons of water with them and some tools. The Green Angels must be busy tuning their harps somewhere these days and trying to get a tow truck out to the desert can take hours. Despite several desperate calls to various emergency numbers no one ever showed up to help us. But, all ended well. I am safely relocated to Tucson and will soon be getting free VA treatment for my physical problems. Just wanted to commend good work. Charlie G

  15. The legally correct method is to have the form stamped at the point of exit from Mexico. The airline in Mexico City is responsible to turn in the document. If it is stamped in GDL for a national flight the agent is in error. There are 2 or 3 places in the Mexico City airport to have the document stamped. I always have to pass at least one while changing planes.

  17. Absolutely. Even though they will be eating solid food, mom still needs to teach them to be cats! And if at all possible, by removing one or two at a time instead of all at once , mom will have an easier time to dry up her milk. And then please.... get her spayed!

  20. Just one thought. Please don't place the kittens until they are at least 8 weeks old and tell the new owners to take them in for kitten shots right away, especially if they have other cats in the house. Kittens are just developing an independent immune system at that age and are susceptible to a variety of diseases.

  23. The distance between those two points is approximately, seven miles, and varies quite a lot with changes in the lake level. (more water, farther shore to shore, longer travel time) A small open boat with a smallish engine, similar to the style many of the lake's fisher-folks use, might travel eight to twelve miles an hour (52 / 23 minutes), which would be a similar for sailboats with a good wind. A nice ski boat with a larger engine is probably able to travel 20 to 30 miles an hour (21 / 14 minutes) to. Headwinds, broadside winds, rain, changes in the lake surface, hidden sub-surface ... impediments (generally more trouble when the lake is lower) and visibility issues could easily make those times much longer, or as has occasionally happened out there, possibly ending the trip before it's completed. Plenty of small boats for sale locally, a few places to park them, and an amazingly underused lake at your doorstep. 24. Black tar waterproofing is called asfalto here. It's what I painted my foundations with when building to prevent salitre coming through. Also Fester makes a product that is black tar with fibers in it which will fill cracks better.

  25. Tiny, your word twists are ludicrous, especially the last sentence. I think I was clear enough. Spago's was starting out badly and they must have heard enough negative feedback to "get" that they wouldn't be in business long at that rate. "Listening to customers" should be about the food and/or the service, not the chosen method of doing business. IMO, it's enough that a restaurant owner has been successful enough over many years that he need not pay attention to customers who want his method of operation done differently. In the case of Bobby's, we have a poster who doesn't like the idea of presenting a multi-course dinner and just wants a choice of entrees. Do you seriously think that the owner should change his menu to suit that person? That person has a choice of many other places to go that do things his way.

  28. Successful business people do listen to their customers. But every customer has a different opinion of what the owner should be doing differently. You can't please all of the people all of the time. There are so many choices of where to eat, why not choose the ones that work for you?

  29. I'll guess that the owner of La Terraza, who has been in the business for decades, has made the decision on how he wants his food offerings presented. I suggest that when a person just wants an entree, he goes to a restaurant that presents that option on their current menu. Janelle's does this, as do many other local restaurants. In other words "why swim against the stream"?

  30. Good point made that you can look here first and decide where, what and how much. I enjoy a variety of tastes rather than, for instance, a big steak. One person's good value is another person's ripoff. One poster here praises a minimalist restaurant with few seats whose menu shows a chicken sandwich for $110 pesos. If the place had comfortable chairs and a salad bar included, it might be a good value. In the same strip, El Ancla offers the best Chicken Cordon Bleu I've ever had for $125 pesos, freshly prepared and served in a very comfortable setting. The portion is so large that I take half home for supper. This site saves a lot of disappointments!😉

  31. These kittens are so very cute and I am sure will make good pets. However, there are so many homeless cats and dogs, perhaps spaying mom after tending to her brood would be a wise decision.

  32. What if I Don't want appie, soup and dessert? Getting extra that you would not have ordered in the first place does not make it a good price. Just charge me for my entree and if I want applies, soup and dessert charge me per item

  39. I also used Dr. Bimbela two years ago and have been very happy with the results and the service provided. I have two friends who have used him and they are also well-satisfied with his work. I did schedule an appointment to interview him and see "before and after" samples of similar surgeries. I think you have to do this in order to select the right doctor for you. Good luck.
