  1. It is mandated by law that doctors in training provide their time and give back to the country. I don't see how this impacts their capabilities in any way. To me, it's shocking how much doctors up north charge for even the smallest of services.

  2. Doctors in this country have been trained with an understanding that you give back to the poor. I had a top gynecologist in Guadalajara, who told me he offered his services 3 mornings a week in poor areas. If you have a need that requires a top specialist & you belong to Seguro Popular or IMSS, you will find that the best doctors will be called. If you are concerned about a doctor you only pay 40 -50 pesos for, there are many options to pay more.

  3. "Site traffic" is a stupid buzzword, employed by companies who want to impress potential advertisers. If most of the traffic here is propelled by trolls rather than decent people seeking information, then the figures are meaningless. And what some people find "interesting", the majority apparently feel otherwise.

  4. In America, we don't really have a health care system but merely a disease treatment system.

  5. With regards to NLU's saga with ILOX.... my opinion.... regardless of 'who did what', and based on what has been shared, this incident could and should never be used as any kind of example of anything.... good or bad. It's certain that NLU is not happy and maybe he should not be, but how would anyone ascertain the relevance of his plight to our reality.

  6. Just got information from one user who was getting 100Mbps, then realized the ethernet jack on the PC was the older 100 type; switched that to a gigabit jack and today is getting far higher than contracted for. Hope they don't mind me posting the new speed:. So have faith, everyone...

  8. All doctors affiliated with "local" farmacias have "village" consulta prices, ranging from 20 to 50 pesos, and that includes writing scrip. This is intended to benefit the poor working class, and says nothing else about the doctor (who is usually still in training).

  9. Yes, I agree it sounds familiar but..... probably only to persons who have/had an interest in 'technology' to begin with due to a job or.... just interest. Rank and file folks, who are the majority, would just not have nor should they have had IMO any clue about such things. 'They' hear (as in this example) "fiber optics, fantastic speeds, access to TV and phones etc etc etc" but they never hear that they may not be able to achieve good or any service at all unless they change out some of their hardware/software'. WE technicians just forget to mention that part or assume that they would know due to..... osmosis if nothing else! Yes, there is the 'fact' that they should be responsible for their own situations and maybe ask or research more before buying, but I can only stretch that reasoning so far.

  16. Ask Ilox why the speed drops like that (Mine omce went to 440kbps, yes'k'). I assume that they will tell you the same thing that they told me. It's your fault; your devices aren't able to handle the speed, or we only promosed 'up tp.' or your cables are inadequate, this in spite of the fact i was using cables that Ilox supplied. All of this in spite of the fact that I had a brand new TV, the other a bit over a year old, and that my speeds varied between that 440kbps and 100mbps and that I had signed up for the 250/300 mbps Triple Double package. Never once did Ilox respond. Until this from the Ilox President, Ing. Víctor Godínez "We are only responsable up to the modem, if you have additional equipment in your house witch doesn't properly work or is not properly configured we are not responsible for that. Also remember internet is a world wide interconnect from servers and computers, if a server in Buffalo or a router somewhere else has limits on line this is proper of internet. Anyway, I have already instructed for reimbursement of your contract and technicians should be in your house tomorrow to remove equipment, a check will be sent to local office for you to pickup on Thursday. Service will be cancelled in the morning in case you need to change equipment connection.' Great service. I'm sure this type of service will minmimize complaints because if you make a strong enough complaint, they will cancel your contract, UNILATERALLY! Which, of course, means that you really don't have a contract. Even so, i have to wish Ilox the best because i want the best for my community. But, don't wait for me to spit on them if I see them on fire!

  18. Daylight hours.....10 to 4 should be OK, Sat AM likely also. Pretty informal place, just holler HOLA when you get to the gate.....there is a small house on the property. The finished black earth (and worms) is under the shade canopy on the west edge of the property. Yes, about 1.5 km from the turn off onto 16 de Sept from the carraterra.

  19. The APS (AP systems) micro-inverters supplied and installed by STI Solar Technology deliver per-panel data in real time, and full history, via either PLC (power line communication) or ZigBee wireless, to the ECU, which does connect to the internet modem. The user can access the full info via computer, or iPhone / Android app. This secure portal also allows for remote diagnostics and adjustment if needed by our engineers and techs.

  21. SDI's box (my solar company) that generates the data is plugged directly into our modem with an ethernet cable. I am currently in Portugal. I just checked my current Ajijic solar production by going to the website provided by my solar installer (SDI) and voila! there's my solar data. It does not matter who my Internet provider is or where I am. Same as if I want to sign into Yahoo mail from anywhere.

  22. I believe what Ferret is talking about is changing the network name and password on the solar control panel so it can access the home network. Normally the installers would do that initially. But if you change the Internet provider after the solar system is installed, someone will need to change it. Just like any other computer devices.

  23. So how do the dog and the owner share the meal? Does the owner get down on all fours and eat off the dog plate on the floor, or does the dog have a special booster seat so it can sit at the table? My dog would go for the rib eye, but the veggies and mixed berries would lead her to leave a bad review.

  24. A year ago I used the Doctor at the pharmacy nearest Chapala Plaza (lakeside) and was pleased. He was a young doctor who had been trained in Cuba. Had my ear cleaned and got a script for a rash. All very reasonable in cost.

  26. With respect to CFE, there's not much they can do unless there is a definite meter reading error or electrical issue on their end. In most cases, high bills are either a result of high(er) consumption or low production; and we review CFE bills for existing systems all the time, as comparing the net readings with the actual solar production is a good way to evaluate what has changed / happened. Following a winter period of a lot of cold and not a lot of sun this year, a few bills headed toward or into the DAC rate, and should come out of it shortly again.

  32. Yes I think it does. The doctors who work at those Pharmacies are paid a wage similar to that of an uneducated construction worker, ( or less) after attending university and doing their service for 6 years. That wage will not attract the best graduates of medical school, nor will the very limited and repetitive nature of the patients' complaints they will hear. Anyone good at medicine will not settle for a job like that, in my opinion. To me its shocking that any doctor will work for those wages. I have seen jobs advertised in the past at those pharmacies offering a wage of 200p a day. For a doctor. Imagine.
