Well,
the rains finally came, as they do every summer around
here. Overnight the hills turned green and the lantana
came out. The lake is swelling. I feel vital and alive
watching the newborn leaves emerge.
It's a summer of optimism.
Thanks to groups like Amigos del Lago and to you, my
friends, progress has begun and a wildflower of hope
is born in Chapala.
