Focus On Art

They may also have a revolving art exhibit, allowing artists to hang their work on consignment. It is an opportunity for an artist to expose his or her work to the public when otherwise it may not be possible.
Case in point: A series of lovely lyrical water colors painted by Ana Rosa Navarro, an artist from Guadalajara who has her work hung at Andrew’s Meson restaurant in Ajijic. She has a permanent exhibit at the Café San Pedro in Tlaquepaque.
Ana, a most attractive young woman, now finds the time to devote to painting full-time. Marriage and children took up her life for several years, leaving little energy to concentrate on her painting endeavors.
She has studied with Conrado Contreras, Luis Eduardo Gonzales and Emilo Galindo in oil, pastel and water color, learning new techniques in varied mediums. She has her work in a collective exhibition at Tequila Sauza headquarters.
It is this exposure that has enabled Ana to widen her scope, and she is now painting successfully on commission from individuals.
