  1. This is Don Pancho Mole heaven in Santa Teresita. A great field trip and they offer samples.
  2. This was posted on Facebook on July 13th: Brunos is taking a vacation! We will be back open at the beginning of September! Stay tuned. in the mean time, we are open in "la canacinta" at Bruno’s Roadside BBQ Ribs Thursday-Monday 12-6pm.
  3. Okay, this is pulling teeth. Did they clean the dried bits or take the entire palm down and haul it off? Again, could you share the names and contact information. I am convinced that you like the value. I suspect I will too!
  4. That sounds very fair but I would like a bit more information. By "done" what exactly do you mean. And can you include names and contact information please?
  5. I just spoke to Luz and want to add some important information. She says that her passion is making prism glasses and can do single and double prism lenses. She has found that it is not enough to get the prescription correct, the lenses often come back from the fabricator with mistakes and must be checked to assure that the prescription was correctly filled and the patient is satisfied. She says that she has had to go to the fabricator and assist with the process because making prism lenses correctly is very complicated and this was the only way to assure a good outcome. You may want to have your friend call Luz to discuss their needs. Oh and LCS is wheelchair accessible too!
  6. Luz is the best. Exam is free so no risk. We have never had exams this thorough anywhere. Good Covid precautions as well. Available every Thursday at LCS. She takes complete notes and reminded me that she recommended a particular eye drop in February of 2018. She just spent over an hour with my wife who has a very high minus and a myriad of other visual issues. After this lengthy exam she told her that her eyes had not changed and that her existing glasses were fine no need for a change unless she wanted an update. No pressure to buy anything, just an honest exam and presentation of fact. She is fluent and answers her phone except when she is driving.
  7. You can try this: Pasta de hojaldre por kilo from Walmart (it shows up in their online ordering). It is puff pastry and it is made with a fat other than butter so it is not as good as some puff pastry dough but season it heavily and add some of your own butter and it should be pretty good. Not sweetened dough so you may need more sugar. Should freeze fine. Use something like this as a go by The final product will be more crunchy/flakey then doughy/yeasty but still very nice.
  8. Two things. Thing one. The QR is the double-check validation. Here is what it says on my certificate just to the right of the code (sic.): Para validar la autenticidad de éste documento, por favor escanee el código QR que debe abrir la página https://cvcovid.salud.gob.mx To validate the authenticity of this document, please scann the QR code that should open the page https://cvcovid.salud.gob.mx. And thing two. My android phone camera (Ver. 10) shows a small button on the bottom right whenever it sees a QR Code. No need for a special app. But you are correct Mostlylost, many of the QR apps are disease ridden and will attempt to steal your stuff.
  9. Many things are less expensive here, but remember that if something is imported, you pay the US cost, the shipping and the taxes for importation. So the cost will be much higher. I have found the best prices here for medical supplies to be from companies that supply hospitals. I haven't found any way around the higher costs for things like colostomy supplies. If anyone has a solution, I'd love to hear about it.
