After reading a posting about Jose's Restaurant in the Chapala Plaza, I finally made it there today about 3 pm. At that time, there were only locals there (always a good sign in my book).
I ordered the Canadian Salmon (grilled) with salad and my husband went with the Fillet Mignon, rice and beans. Both were delicious. Isabel served us promptly and with a smile.
We had a couple of special requests and they were very accommodating. The salmon was 85 pesos and I think the fillet was 80. The portions were generous and well presented.
We enjoyed sitting in the shade under the ficus trees and watching the hustle and bustle along the Chapala Plaza.
Finished up with a quick trip through the Market for some fresh flowers and produce.
Would definitely go again. Give it a try!

My raspberry liqueur is ready to be strained and poured into bottles...But, I haven't any.
I'm looking for 1/2 L. to 1 L. glass bottles with screw on lids to keep it nice and tight. I checked "the store of many things" in the Ajijic Plaza yesterday but to no avail.
Hoping someone has seen them lakeside and can give me info.
Thanks, in advance, for the help!
