  1. As kids my husband and his buddies did this on Halloween.
  2. There is a new and very nice bazaar across from Puritan Poultry. I think they are called Bazaar del Lago. First time I went there, a week or so ago, they were loaded with nice things. Next time many of those things were sold. It is a large space which allows things to be displayed nicely. Would suggest it for furniture, rugs, etc. Maybe It's Kinda for some smaller stuff.
  3. Used Rene this week and he was most helpful. He fixed a lock that had been installed with some parts out of place, changed the combination of exterior locks and made new keys. He is fairly priced and very helpful as he explained a detail of my locks that no one else had done. He also does rides to airport, Tequila and anywhere else you would lime. Highly recommend him.
  4. Thanks, I am going to give Rene a try. Nice to know he has a good working relationship with Aragon and will refer on, if needed.
  5. My research on this board leads me to think that Herbierto Aragon is the go to locksmith in the area. Does he speak English? I have needs that may be too complicated for our limited Spanish. Does anyone have an alternative recommendation for English speaking locksmith with whom they have had good experience?
  6. Hi, can you tell me if you would have the Hernandez brothers work on your house while you were in the States?  Thanks Julie

  7. Thank you m'Dear for the help. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Wonder if this is a "pm"?

    Saludos,

    Mike Grosser

  8. If you haven't already gotten your ticket for the dinner after Thriller, you can stop by Zombie practice on Saturday from 1 to 3.  They are selling them there.

  9. Dog muzzles can be purchased at the LFA pet Store in Riberas

  10. It is not a question of the providers accepting Medicare but, rather, that Medicare does not cover one out of the states. When we left we had a supplemental policy which covered one for the first 60 days out of the country. Not sure if all supplementals have that same condition but it did help us as my husband had some expensive medical needs during that time frame. We have a catastrophic coverage policy which we buy through a group policy offered by Focus on Mexico. Your choices increase the younger you are so make sure to investigate and not get shut out because you reached a certain age. Do not be deceived that some practices take Medicare. If they do they have a gimmick.

  12. If Vargas is the one who comes to the Ajijic Clinic beware.  My husband used him with very bad results and doesn't believe that he did the surgery himself.

  13. Vargas made my husband's eye worse rather then better.  Very bad experience.

      Hi there,

Can you tell me which Dr. Vargas? My research shows there are two: Dr. Jose Alberto Vargas Silva and Dr. Jose Manuel Vargas Sarquis.  So confusing.
