  1. Those were the good old days. I used to work there and got my $40/per month internet for free. In those days it was an honor to work for Rod. who was a great guy. I havent seen him since.
  2. Good to see you back online. We all missed you. Pete

  3. The folks in real estate, say things are a little slower this year.
  4. Just to the west of Superlake was a popular large automobile maintenance shop run by and American or Canadian where I would always take my car for an oil-change. It is now run by a different group. I'm hoping that the place is still run well. Anyone wanting to comment about whether the new place still is a great place to go? I hope so. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any comments
  5. Gosh, I am up north in Yes, I Pete Johanson, am NOB in Seattle,Wa. and have been here for a week. Why? because I see my family doctor every 3 months, and to pick up a 90 day supply of the many medications he recommends I take. It's very boring because most of my friends have died of old age or found a better/warmer place to leave for, I'm sure glad I chose Ajijic, along the shores of Lake Chapala and close to the Guadalajara Airport for my retirement home, See you all as soon as can get back home.
  6. Things have been very very slow. I sure hope the problem has been resolved. its been very very slow. I sure hope things have been
  7. I have Contact with a great guy down here, Sadly the contact info is on my cell phone which I forgot in Seattle. If he doesn't happen to read this, I have to be in Seattle at the end of Sep. for a short trip and will get my cell phone there and immediately have access to my guy. I'm sure he would be to help if you
  8. My laptop shows both how much we had last night, which was at the site of the Ajijic weather station. It also shows how much we've had by date. So this morning we had 0.47 inches or if you look at the amount6 including yesterday evening you had to add another 1.6 inches So if someone asked how much rain last night, it was over 2.1 inches. But I only glanced at the weather, where it stated 0.47 inches and which we had this morning. everyone told me how wrong I was but they had no idea we had. So remember if someone is asking how much we had last night, We are taking data from two days. The first part of the data gathered from in the evening and take the remainder from the next day in the morning, So be careful how you gather your data. If your asked how much rain we had last night, you have to check data from rain totals over two days
  9. Gosh I hope the system has good coverage, especially if you have a phone down by the well or up on the roof, which is like four stories considering that fact that the first line plugs in down in the basement
  10. thank you for being neighbors. I learned a lot
  11. I sure hope so, artsnob, say I from normally rainy Seattle.. GO RAIN
  12. Hey Rick; Calgary is not in BC. Try going a little East. I understand what you mean when you say it does not make any sense,
  13. Yes, it seemed and or seems that way the last time I checked, say I, in Seattle for another week or two. Is it that way under every topic? I don't know.
  14. Isn't that the place that also gives a great haircut. Last year for $170 pesos plus tip. Now it's 180 pesos, at least it was in late March before I headed north to escape the heat until July, once the summer rains start and it cools down.
  15. I have an Actinver checking and brokerage account at the Ajijic Actinver branch office. Quite often when I need a little more cash than I last wired down at an excellent exchange rate, I will deposit a Bank of America check for maybe $700 US dollars. Now never is the exchange rate a good as when I wire the money down from Seattle to Ajijic. But it is nice to know I have that option, should I need more money while I am in Mexico
