  1. Thanks, that is very good advice. I'll get in touch with them. l
  2. We are interested in a driver from Ajijic to Guadalajara and back with a short wait at the Guadalajara location. This would be on a regular basis off and on over the next few weeks. If interested, how do I contact you?
  3. I had the same problem getting my photo accepted by Mercado Libre after 7 or 8 tries (on top of taking around 20 tries to get them to upload a photo they deemed suitable) so I switched to Amazon MX. This was on an Edge browser but one of these days I'll try logging on to Mercado Libre from two other browsers and, if neither of them work, it's goodbye forever for Mercado Libre as far as I'm concerned.
  4. I talked to Letty at Quality Care and she said the best way to contact them is to use WhatsApp to leave a message for her at 332 050 4009 or Selena at 332 785 0259. Include the doctor's and patient's names, etc. in the text message.
  5. Will do. (The name "Quality Care" is appropriate for their docters and nurses but totally inappropriate for their phone service.)
  6. I checked this thread to see if any improvements have been made in contacting Quality Care via telephone and it seems there are none. Three different phone calls using three different phone numbers and one WhatsApp attempt didn't work for me either so I will have to drive there.
  7. Dr. Michel Saenz Farret is very good and comes from Guadalajara to Quality Care once a week. He can be reached at michelsf@hotmail.com or at 376-766-1870, cel 332-785-0259. 376-766-5425, or cel 332050-4009.
  8. I haven't tried it myself, but Mel's has regular pickleball beginner sessions. According to ajijicnews.com there is a session tomorrow, March 3rd. at 4:00 PM.
  9. Cristobal Diaz, Speaks English and does good work 333 477 8690
  10. Great advice about Marco! He's done a couple of painting jobs for me and patchs cracks rather than just painting over them, replasters areas affected by salitre, and ensures everything is spotless at the end of the job. The telephone number is not quite right though. It is actually 333 130 5732.
  11. I had the same problem with the Pancho's West Scotia Bank ATM but no money was removed from my Actinver account.
  12. There is an interesting history of how the fossil fuel industries have delayed action on climate change over the years at How decades of disinformation about fossil fuels halted U.S. climate policy : NPR At Fossil Fuels - Our World in Data there is a chart giving per capita fossil fuel emissions of the larger countries (I added Mexico to the list.): United States - 63,836 kWh Australia - 54,286 kWh Germany - 31,225 kWh Europe - 28,721 kWh China - 25,344 kWh United Kingdom - 22,509 kWh South Africa - 21,063 kWh France - 19,372 kWh Mexico - 17,094 kWh India - 6,319 kWh Of course, some of these countries have a higher overall impact due to their larger populations but overpopulation is another topic altogether.
  13. Yes, I read that. It seems to me the fraudulent mileage claims ought to lead at least to a class action lawsuit--not to mention the secret coverup department whose job was to cancel service appointments. I always thought his actions were a little strange and agree about his going over to the dark side. On a positive note, that led to some good Tesla price reductions and even the lower priced models, such as the one I'm getting, seem to be very nice cars. I hope his actions don't destroy the company.
  14. I don't remember where I saw it, but someone made the comment that some of the range estimates seem to assume you are driving downhill 75% of the time.
  15. Yes, there are probably going to be some difficulties with respect to recharging on the road and eventual resale. The range is supposed to be 534km. I've been looking at the Tesla supercharging station map and it looks like I could easily drive to San Miguel de Allende and make a short detour to a supercharging station on the way back. There are some destination chargers associated with some pricey hotels but I won't be using those. A 220v home charger is supposed to charge at a rate of up to 44 miles (71 km) per hour depending on the available amperage. When a charge is needed while travelling, a Tesla supercharger is supposed to charge at a rate of 200 miles (322 km) per hour. The Tesla software is even supposed to be able to warn you when the charge is getting low and guide you to a local charging station when the need arises. It will be a challenge figuring out the controls but, for awhile, I'll stick with the basics of opening the door, choosing among park, drive and reverse, opening and closing the trunk and frunk(?), using the navigation system, and adjusting the rear view mirrors. There's a lot of other stuff I probably won't even bother with and even these basic items require some study.
