In Topic: does anything ever work??

If it was a matter of not getting a parking meter slip, I believe you have to pay to park even when you have a handicapped sticker.  At least that's been my experience. I foolishly didn't read the small print on the handicap sign; it states that you need to get a sticker from the meter.  Now what was frustrating is how far away the meter was from the handicap parking space.  Having failed to read this, I was ticketed.  Paid it that day and got it reduced by 50%.

I am sorry that some of you took my comment as a complaint.  I really wasn't complaining, just suggesting something to the first post.  We've just learned to park close to the parking meters and not worry about parking where there is a handicapped space.  It's not been a big deal, but it is something that in any city any where, the planners could take into consideration.  The cost of the meters is low and hopefully will help the government collect a little more money.

In Topic: Telecable

06 March 2013 - 08:40 AM

Telecable offers four services: analog TV (channels 2 through 75, Digital TV, channels 100 through 999, internet, and Telephone (VoIP).  Which service is out?

I only subscribe to two of the services and they work fine; Analog and digital TV, here in upper Ajijic

Curious as to why you didn't choose to go with their phone and internet service? We are trying to make that decision. We are questioning whether we actually need a landline whether Telecable's internet might be more consistent that TelMex?

Thanks for input,

Carol

Actually you can do the same for less cost.

Thanks for the link. I'll give it a try. Saving 50 pesos a month means more fun for something else.

We ate today - for the first time - at Que Taco. I can wholeheartedly recommend that you go there and order either the Globo Vegetarian or the Vegetables Brochette. To start they served raw vegetables with a great mustard dip. Then the meals came. Delicious. If you don't want cheese, be sure to tell them that, since the Globo had cheese in it.

This is a restaurant on the road from Ajijic to Joco. It's on the left side going to Joco. Parking looks like it is going to be tough, but just pull in right in front of the restaurant. The topes makes the traffic coming in or going out easy to get around.
