If it was a matter of not getting a parking meter slip, I believe you have to pay to park even when you have a handicapped sticker. At least that's been my experience. I foolishly didn't read the small print on the handicap sign; it states that you need to get a sticker from the meter. Now what was frustrating is how far away the meter was from the handicap parking space. Having failed to read this, I was ticketed. Paid it that day and got it reduced by 50%.

I am sorry that some of you took my comment as a complaint. I really wasn't complaining, just suggesting something to the first post. We've just learned to park close to the parking meters and not worry about parking where there is a handicapped space. It's not been a big deal, but it is something that in any city any where, the planners could take into consideration. The cost of the meters is low and hopefully will help the government collect a little more money.
