A number of lizards eat scorpions.  I vote for leaving it be.

And those puppies in a box will likely get dumped somewhere if the shelters are full or they don't have the means/desire to take them to one.  That's how I ended up with 2 of mine...they were just dumped as babies on the beach to die a slow painful death.  And I have picked up and taken to rescue facilities several more in the same situation.  The breeders will not keep them  so they don't have to feed them.  They will be dumped or drowned or worse once past the "cute" stage.  This, I fear, is the reality here.

So do you think is was a scam based on the attendant's behavior or  an honest mistake?  Either way we will be a bit more vigilant.
