That is a very generous idea. Being alone on the holidays for the first or even 10th time can be depressing for some.

I'm a voracious reader. I love taking slow walks, swimming, riding horses, and cats, and dogs. Oh, and snakes! I am also of the mind that I have dieted all of my life and now that I'm older I refuse to die skinny and hungry! Food is wonderful.. yes it is. (laughs)
If there are any other Foodies out there, I would absolutely love to hang out with you. I love to cook, and I love finding new tastes. I do however draw the line at Balut. (shudder)

I hadn't even considered a Christmas Dinner. Does anyone have suggestions even if it's not on Christmas eve?

Tried them out my second day here, never again.
I am a lover of good curry, Red, Yellow or Green but what I got was tasteless and amatuerish at best. I must admit that I do not know if Zucchini Long beans or eggplant can be found down here, and I'm hoping that the unavailability of those ingredients is why it had broccoli and califlower of all things. I opted for the medium since I knew the mild would never be spicy enough for me and Hot usually too much so but it was neither red, or spicy or even salty which can happen with fish sauce.
The fried spring rolls were excellent however.

We are having that same problem right now. One computer is connected to the modem and everyone else is on wifi. Strangely enough, if the one that is connected is turned off, then the modem rebooted. We all can stay connected without problem, but the moment the wired comp is turned on, everyone loses their connection again until it's turned back off and modem rebooted.
Just turning the computer off doesn't work, we have to reboot the modem also. It is a big pain, but Telmex will be here soon to look at it.
