My first posting though I have been reading for some time. Many thanks for all the information I have learned from this forum.
My husband and I are hoping for "early retirement" and to that end we are starting the whole liquidation process. The house is up for sale, we are liquidating business entities etc. And we are "dejunking" the house! Thank goodness for Craigslist!
Now the question. In my retirement I am hoping to finally have time once again to pursue my hobbies and am wondering what supplies for these might be available locally. And, by local, I mean within several hours distance (when your commute is 2+ hours driving that disstance for fun is nothing!)
The materials I am looking for are:
Stained Glass- glass, solder, and supplies. Should I bring my grinder, saw etc?
Fabric mostly for homegoods, not clothes (I have read there are some in Guad). Should I bring my sewing machines or buy new?
I want to learn Pottery making-so classes, kilns etc
Glass Beads-to use in stained glass and beadwork
Soapmaking-fragrance and essencial oils for scents. I assume lye is readily available.
Thanks in advance to what will be the start of our "journey"!
