RVGrino, can you please verify the validity of these statements/scenario?
You come down for a visit. You decide you want to move to MX. You have 180 days total in 365 to find a house etc. You can come and go as many times as you want as long as they do not total more than 180 days in 365. If you miscalculate, and haven't found the city/house you want to live in in the 180 days you have to wait until the 365 is over to come again. Once you come down again, and find something before the 180 days (out of 365) is over you have to apply for the FM3. Once you get that FM3 you have to hightail it back NoB to get your stuff and move it down within 30 days. Meaning you better have house sold, things packed and waiting NoB for quick shipment? Sounds like the logistics are a little tighter than pre-May 1? Is this right? I am going to need a spreadsheet to keep me straight! LOL!

What if you want to stay more than 180 days (FMT/FMM) but aren't quite ready to bring everything down in the tariff-free window (30 days?) of getting an FM3? Thanks

Peter, it was a good idea. I have always bought them in cities where I have lived and they more than pay for themselves. Not sure why the idea didn't take off down there...if we had made it down before expiration we were going to get one even just to have the names of so many of the businesses as a reminder! (but alas, I am still NOB)

Thanks so much. I was hearing so many different reports that I was worried that visiting/moving would become more of a hassle...this looks like it is easier...
