i checked my schwab account for that card and it was hit twice, once for some sunglasses and a 5 dollar purchase. they probably tried a bigger hit but there was very little money in there. so with all this said ill be way more careful at the atm and not let anyone near me.

i did try to use that card at walmart at the lake back in november, a guy was there and acting strange, ill bet thats where it got switched. i havent tried to use it again till today in austin. but nothing was taken out of my account and its been cancelled. so be very aware at the atm. it was the banorte atm in walmart.

a very strange thing happened today. i went to use my schwab debit card at an atm here in austin texas. it would not work. i happened to look at the name on the card and the name on the card was Harty Mercer. i do not know this person and cant figure out how thus happened. if you are this person or know this person please contact me by message on this board. both cards have been cancelled and schwab is sending me another and they said they would contact mr mercer and send him one too.

i have taken hwy 54 that runs past the monterrey airport now for 3 or 4 years. its 2 hours to roma tx where i have a very easy crossing, then rt on hwy 83, 5 miles to rm 649, left on 649, 50 miles to hwy 16 then rt on 16 to san antonio tx and loop 410 and ih 35. not many trucks or cars the whole way. i waited 2 minutes to cross at rome this last monday morning, just follow the periferico around monterrey and go PAST the laredo turn off. after about 7 or 8 miles there is a toll booth on the periferico, past it take the 2nd rt turn to miguel aleman-hwy 54. thats the one you want. if you want a good motel there is the cuna del estado in cerralvo 1200 pesos, and hotel raga in miguel aleman 850 pesos. there are no good hotels in roma!!!

i set up a wire transfer from schwab bank to intercam on the 24th of june. it never arrived at intercam according to them. i requested that schwab try and retrieve the money, 5k USD, and they were successful. the 5k is back in my schwab account and im very glad to see it. i dont know where it has been hiding. i wont try that again unless things get totally straightened out.!!!!!!!

and as for intercam, i initiated a wire transfer in PESOS from schwab last tuesday the 24th. schwab says the transfer has been completed but intercam says they have NOT received it and it has not been returned to my schwab account. i did make a transfer from schwab to intercam by wire in pesos in april of this year as a test and i received it in my intercam account in 2 days. i wonder whats going on now.???? i did this just before i learned about the problems with intercam and ci banco and the other place vector.

i spent a lot of time last november opening an account at Bx+ and was told by the manager that i could wire transfer PESOS from my schwab account in the US to BX+ at no fee to receive them. after all of that i go to make a transfer in pesos and im told they wont accept pesos, it has to go to another bank in dollars and then they do the exchange to pesos and charge the exchange fees which completely defeats the purpose. i closed the account immediately. i will not do business there.

i drove southbound on the saltillo-zacatecas hwy last sunday the 30th of march. it was ok and there are many new stretches of the northbound lane that are fixed and some paving equipment in various places so i guess work is ongoing. i havent taken 57 in 20 years and dont plan to. i also cross at miguel aleman-roma tx crossing. quick and easy, then up hwy 16 to san antonio tx.

i dont use the magic jack device any more. i downloaded the magic jack app on my phone and it works fine

you might think about taking the chapala bus to gdl and getting off at the EL ALAMO stop. its in the valley just past tapatio hill, then catch a cab from there to central nueva. its much closer and faster than going to the old bus station downtown. the cab to bus station costs maybe 100 pesos, just a guess. and on return you can do the same thing in reverse.

i learned my lesson with dental express years ago. my wife had work done there that had to be redone in the US because she wouldnt go back to dental express. 3000USD later she still lost the tooth which cost 600USD more just to pull it. and dr edgar was in charge or owner when this happened. we now go to mojo dental one block below farmacia guadalajara in ajijic. at the corner of guadalupe victoria. 376-688-2731

i am a US veteran and have checked out the VA program at lakeside medical. i dont qualify because im not service connected disabled. i do not use medicare in the US and I use the VA in austin texas, central texas veterans healthcare system, and am very happy with the excellent care that i receive.
