Looks like you have several options already.   Carmen and Octavio did our awning.  Excellent job. Excellent people.

On Calle de la Montana from the lower end at Rio Nazas to about half way up the hill.  There are some pretty big holes.

Is this "pothole fixing" service available anywhere in the city limits of Ajijic?  or is this for just the downtown area?

In Topic: El Ancla Restaurant

The Anchor Bar & Grill (Ancla in Spanish.)  Located on the carratera heading West on lakeside of the street about 2 miles from Ajijic.

They have a full bar and a good beer selection, beers are served with chilled mugs.

The menu is on a chalkboard. It is limited but covers the bases.  They have a variety of fish and shrimp choices,  grilled chicken breast. 2 steak cuts and several types of hamburgers.

We started with Cesar salad for 2 at 70 pesos and the waiter prepares it fresh tableside.  It was very good!

I had Mumia shrimp –  at least 8 or more prawns stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon.  They were perfectly cooked.  My wife had the grilled chicken breast – she said it was moist and of a generous size.  Both came with rice and grilled vegies but we had the choice of french fries.

A nice surprise was that we were given a ‘palate cleanser’ of lime sorbet between courses.

Adrien is a bilingual waiter who is very friendly and excited about the restaurant.  He told us they offer bananas foster and peach flambé for desserts as well as Spanish and Mexican coffees, also made tableside.  He says to check the Guadalajara Reporter weekly for their ads and discount coupons.  They are open Tuesday thru Sunday from 11am to 8pm.  A great first experience and we will be back!
